I love beer. I used to think I hated it. The only beer I could drink was disgustingly sweet stuff. Then I simply decided to try to appreciate the bitterness of hops -- to think of the hops as herbal and floral. And then I discovered that I really rather liked the taste of hops. That was the breakthrough. After that I branched out into some more diverse beers. The most important thing is never to let a mass-produced beer cross your lips. Only drink craft brews. If the hops bother you, start with something more malty, like a nice smooth Scottish-style ale. If you're willing to brave the hops and give them a chance, wait for a hot day, do some yard-work, and then come in and have an ice-cold pale ale. I'm telling you there's no better thirst-quencher. Try a moderate India Pale Ale, maybe a 60 minute (not stronger, that might put you off). Try a nice, dark, choclate-y porter. Try the whole gamut. If you can, find a good brewpub and visit it every now and again to try whatever new brews they've got. Good luck -- for myself, I'm very glad I got over my beer hatred. Beer is a fun and very pleasurable little world.
AND NO BUDWEISER/MICHELOB/COORS! EVER!!

I enjoy beer. I wouldn't say I LOVE it, but I do tend to drink beer most of the time. I don't drink mixed drinks because I'm not a big soda or juice drinker.
When I travel I tend to order different beers from the country I am in, there is quite a difference around the world (even within a country there tends to be a huge difference and variety)
I am no expert, and I do not spend my time tasting different types and learning all about beer...it just boils down to the fact that on a hot day at the lake, nothing beats a cold one....
Anyone that does not like beer, that is completely up to them. More power to them. And more beer for me.

Mine would be a combination of D.H and F:
I will take a beer if offered but I usually prefer wine to beer.
I only like a few brands and it's usually imports that people have never tasted/heard of- so if someone doesn't have a brand I like-I decline.
I also have never finished a full beer-even the ones I like start tasting strange about 1/2 way through.
I have two kids now so the occasional alcoholic beverage is just that-occasional and 9 times out of 10 they don't have what I like.

Beer tastes vile and like sushi is an aquired taste which I will never acquire, I like the idea of beer but not its taste and so may pretend to like it at a social setting because everyone else seems to - I am a Bacardi Cola fan - nothing more.

Firstly you need to define Beer.
Lager or Bitter?
Lager is normally sweeter and chilled to make it more palatable, so I assume you mean Bitter, which is then subdivided into such a vast plethora of types that I haven't got space here.
Stout, mild, cask conditioned, real ale,......the list is lengthy.
You should go to a Beer Festival ( not one dedicated to consumption as in Germany), you might still however end up not liking Beer. I like it, I'm not an alcoholic , I drink at home on my own or with visitors, at a pub on my own or socially.

d.) like beer and will gladly take one when offered but if ordering for yourself there are other drinks you might choose first.
There are different kinds of beer.
I used to like CROWN LARGER premium beer. But either as I have got older (early 30s) my tastes have changed, or they have altered the flavour, I now prefer a brand called COLD.
I would much prefer a burboun though.
And beer hangovers and beer vomit is terrible. The bile that follows a night of drunken vomiting is enough to stop me drinking for a year.

I love beer. Not because it can make you drunk, which it does. I just really have a thing for it. I didn't like it till I was 22. I used to drink it occasionally if there was nothing else to drink (alcohol wise) but it definitly was not a first or even second choice. Slowly it grew on me like a wart. No I would never be without it.

I (A) love beer. I prefer imported dark beers because they don't tend to have the after taste of domestic beers. I also use it to cook with. Beer is an aquired taste.
