I never hear any christians mentioning this, do they prefer to omit this from their minds because this fact must cast doubt on the existence of God?

A quote would also help.

The Bible predates the discovery of dinosaurs. One might think God would have said something about this, wouldn't you? It casts doubt on the whole text from a factual standpoint. They would rather believe that God put the dinosaur bones there, as well as all of the geological strata and all the rest, that can be explained through biology and geology. What makes more sense? That the universe is 6000 years old, and all of that archaeic evidence was placed there by God to confuse us, or that the world was formed 4.5 billion years ago (as evidenced from U-238 dating) and life formed, continents shifted and things changed slowly but consistently to the present day?

They also used to think the world was flat, and that all the heavens revolved around the Earth. How many hundreds of years did it take the Church to admit that Galileo was right?

The earliest parts of the Bible were written by naive shepherds who copied things from other cultures, particularly Sumeria and Persia. The Sumerians had a Deluge tale, and Zoroaster of Persia invented a Devil. The Hebrews did not have that until the Persian Captivity. A serpent tempts Eve in Genesis, and God hardened the nameless pharoah's heart in Exodus. If these parts had been rewritten after the Persian period, the Satan would be blamed for these things. David's census was inspired by God or the Devil in different Bible passages. The writers of the Bible knew nothing about dinosaurs or many other creatures who lived millions of years before man. One may see many scientific errors in the Bible, e.g. it says pi is 3, but it is really 3.14159... so I cannot use the Bible in engineering work or even to buy a hat. Why should anyone claim the Bible mentions dinosaurs and make fools of themselves?

During that era it took a lot of effort and expense to be able to write things written down on papyrus. It was expensive, time consuming, and only rich people could afford a slave, enough papyrus and ink for a book that size. The average person may have been able to buy a few rolls of papyrus, but not enough for a book with tens of thousands of words on it.
So the writer was limited on how much text to use and what really was important to save in writing.

In the link look at paragraph seven starting with :
"Papyrus was the standard record keeping m..."

Also, in that area there was a lack of dinosaur bones because the country was covered in sand. If there was any signs of prehistoric bones, it would be covered up by tons of sand.
I'm sure they probably found a few during that time, but any written evidence would have been destroyed over time, or maybe we haven't found the evidence that they did in fact find some dinosaur bones.
Who knows? Time will tell.
Humans are always unearthing new evidence every year. Maybe your answer could be solved in the next archaeological dig?

The bible does not mention a lot of things but does not mean they are not legit. Doesn't mention heart transplants but does not mean they don't exist, or computers but it does not mean they don't exist or are not there. If it mentioned everything, there would not be room enough to have a bible in the home as it would take a huge library to hold it all. Only the things that are needful for our salvation are in the bible, the things that really make a difference in our lives. Does not cast any doubt about God or His existance unless you really want it to. Dinosaurs existed as did chariots, wagons, mastodons and such but you don't find those in the bible either. Doesn't take the bible talking of dinosaurs to have me believe God is there and that Jesus will come again to take me to Heaven. Just shows how varied and vast His powers are.

This is because the bilble is selectively compiled stories about the hitory of man (old testament), and the life and teachings of jesus (ne w Testament),in order to make people believe in an all powerful being and his earthly representative, to ensure compliance and servitude.
A lot of the main sources of the bible were destroyed after their use to ensure no other record would remain. Hence the church's outrage when the dead sea scrolls were found, which were written long before the bible and disagreed with alot of the "facts" that are found in the bible.
This is the same situation with the Koran, which also contains no dinosaurs, but is said to be the word of "God".
So both God and Allah (our supposed creators), both conveniently forgot about the dinosaurs they would have had to put on earth, millions of years before us.
Makes me thank science everyday for showing us whats real.

The word dinosaurs didn't mean anything in bible times.
Definition :
1 : any of a group (Dinosauria) of extinct often very large chiefly terrestrial carnivorous or herbivorous reptiles of the Mesozoic era
2 : any of various large extinct reptiles (as ichthyosaurs) other than the true dinosaurs
3 : one that is impractically large, out-of-date, or obsolete

The Genesis account does mention creatures and , sea creatures etc. One could assume that since the genesis account refers to days (which according to bible scholars is not a literal 24 hour day, but a period of time) it is referring to periods oof time. One could assume then that these days correspond to what we refer to as Era's.

I'm sure had the writter of Genesis known that 5 thousand years later a group of people today would use this wimpy excuse to not believe he would have invented the word dinosaurs causing people to find something else to be stumbled by or he simply wouldn't have cared realizing that people are going to either believe or not believe. It wouldn't matter if the bible originally came with a DVD with a highlight reel showing creation and various points in bible history. People either believe or they dont.

An aura of mystery surrounds the dinosaurs. Where did they come from? Did they evolve? Did they really live millions of years ago? What happened to them? Are there any living today? Has any human being ever seen a live dinosaur?

Children and adults alike are absolutely fascinated by these mysterious monsters. Numerous books and movies have been produced to satisfy a seemingly insatiable hunger for information on these puzzling creatures. The truth of the matter, however, is that there are no real mysteries at all, once you have key information that is not generally known and is withheld from the public.

Although the Bible does not tell us exactly how long ago it was that God made the world and its creatures, we can make a good estimate of the date of creation by reading through the Bible and noting some interesting passages:

1.

God made everything in six days. He did this, by the way, to set a pattern for mankind, which has become our seven day week (as described in Exodus 20:11). God worked for six days and rested for one, as a model for us. Furthermore, Bible scholars will tell you that the Hebrew word for day used in Genesis 1, can only mean an ordinary day in this context.
2.

We are told God created the first man and woman—Adam and Eve—on Day Six. Many facts about when their children and their children’s children were born are given in Genesis. These genealogies are recorded throughout the Old Testament, up until the time of Christ. They certainly were not chronologies lasting millions of years.

As you add up all of the dates, and accepting that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to Earth almost 2000 years ago, we come to the conclusion that the creation of the Earth and animals (including the dinosaurs) occurred only thousands of years ago (perhaps only 6000!), not millions of years. Thus, if the Bible is right (and it is!), dinosaurs must have lived within the past thousands of years.
Where Did Dinosaurs Come From?

Evolutionists claim that dinosaurs evolved over millions of years. They imagine that one kind of animal slowly changed over long periods of time to become a different kind of animal. For instance, they believe that amphibians changed into reptiles (including dinosaurs) by this gradual process. This would mean, of course, that there would have been millions of creatures during that time that would be ‘in between,’ as amphibians evolved into reptiles. Evidence of these ‘transitional forms,’ as they are called, should be abundant. However, many fossil experts admit that not one unquestionable transitional form between any group of creatures and another has been found anywhere. If dinosaurs evolved from amphibians, there should be, for example, fossil evidence of animals that are part dinosaur and part something else. However, there is no proof of this anywhere. In fact, if you go into any museum you will see fossils of dinosaurs that are 100% dinosaur, not something in between. There are no 25%, 50%, 75%, or even 99% dinosaurs—they are all 100% dinosaur!

The Bible tells us that God created all of the land animals on the sixth day of creation. As dinosaurs were land animals, they must have been made on this day, alongside Adam and Eve, who were also created on Day Six (Genesis 1:24-31). If God designed and created dinosaurs, they would have been fully functional, designed to do what they were created for, and would have been 100% dinosaur. This fits exactly with the evidence from the fossil record.

Evolutionists declare that no man ever lived alongside dinosaurs. The Bible, however, makes it plain that dinosaurs and people must have lived together. Actually, as we will soon see, there is a lot of evidence for this.

To me. Bible is not a Biology Text. It as any other religious text, ask human kind to stay away from negative basic instincts so that it will not disrupt and hurt others.

Human, unlike other animals, with high intelligence can go awry if there is no moral codes, and thats the purpose of religious text, I hope.

The way of presentation of creation in the Book of Genesis, confining the whole into few sentenses it self, shows Bible is not intended to say Biology.

Still, Bible says the creation was done taking few days, in a sequential manner. This defenitely goes in line with modern science of evolution, culminating in an advanced creature by name Human. May be Gods day is counted in Millions of years!

Maybe God created dinosaurs first, got bored with them, killed them off, buried their bones in the ground, and then made people. Then, people were so busy doing other stuff that they didn't find the dinosaur bones until long after the Bible was written, and they didn't want to write a "Bible, Part Two - Discovery of the Dinosaurs."

I guess those men over the many years that wrote the Bible did'nt come across many dinosaur remains on their travels & therefore there was no reason to mention them. That's the easy answer. After all one has to 'know' what something is first to put it into context, though on saying that our minds in the 21st century don't see things/events etc as they did a number of thousand years ago.
