No I do not think so. Most times people hate the way they were criticised. We all make mistakes and we all like to learn. But what hurts us most is when criticised rudely. This waters down our spirits and we tend to feel undermined, yet there may be other things that the criticised person may know better.

So what are you saying? Are you saying I don't like criticism or can't take it? What a terrible person you are for even suggesting this. You don't know me... You don't know what I've had to go through. Back off... NOW....

Thanks for the 2...

People like Correction. If you could somehow, maybe, change your tone , the setting(s), etc., things may turn out differently. Better yet, talk to that person like he/she is your Friend! The way you would want to be spoken to. Even better, accept that person with their quirks and differences. Variety is good. And, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean there's Any that don't.

YOu are so right. NOt even "constructive" criticisms. BUT criticising others comes so easily to all of us. IF possible, DO NOT criticise at all unless they are very very close family such as husbands who will benefit from your criticism. Always do it as gently as possible.

I find I can take criticism under certain circumstances. No insults with it, offers alternatives, presented calmy and rationally and most importantly it must be your business to criticize me!

I'd say that was a pretty fair summation, yes. We all like to be praised & no one wants to hear anything negative about themselves, even if it's intended as "constructive" criticism.
