I guess there are some who actually do pray for his forgiveness!!
But he doesn't want it.
You see, he has avowed that he will be the enemy of God and man forever!!
The price of Jesus atonement for our sins was for this life and for those who live in it. He paid an earthly atonement for those sins committed on earth.
He declared that "a man must be born of water [baptized] and of the Spirit [Holy Ghost]" to be saved.
Well, Satan and his 'angels' never committed sins on this earth and cannot be baptized because they have never received bodies ... they didn't want them ... nor can they receive forgiveness in this life, nor in that to come, simply because they have not passed through this life ... which is a pre-requisite for Heaven!
So, as you can see, Satan is really quite out of the running altogether!
Yet the spirit of charity that is within us, despite all his wickedness against us, makes us feel sorry for him, and for all those others who may persecute us, but who will miss out accordingly.
We forgive them ... because we "forgive men their tresspasses".

I've often wondered the same thing or with people like Kurt Cobain (whose music I love).
In prayer and thought I came to this conclusion. Me praying and hoping that God will forgive them is off track. In other words, I can't do anything about it. Christ alone can take on the burden of the world's sin. You and I can't even make right our own sin by ourselves. How possibly can we help with someone else's sins?
I see others have made reference to Satan being an angel and that precluding him from any redemption. I don't know, we'll have to ask God on that one.

hmmm, interesting question, but I'm not going to even pretend to know the answer to that one. I guess I personally don't because of the prophecy in the Bible. Jesus said "it is finished" which means the enemy is already defeated, his fate has been sealed (if I'm allowed to use the word fate and not get bashed on the head, lol) so I guess that's why I do not pray for Satan. Still, very interesting question.
And as for Curt Cobain? You don't pray for the dead. that's already done. Nothing you can do about that now. The time to pray for him was when he was alive.

Pray for Satan if you want, but it's all a big bunch of myths. Then again, maybe the church should start praying for Satan and then the world would be a better place with the absence of evil. Imagine if Satan attended a church service at Rev. John Hagee's church and if he got saved. That would really make John shout, "Glory!", wouldn't it? Oh just think of all the fun people would have at the next church picnic!

Fascinating question isn't it?
Seems to come down to the idea of free will. Christians believe that Mankind was created with free will - though that idea appears to be in logical opposition to the idea that the Eden couple "fell" from God's grace the minute they actually exercised that free will. Meanwhile the angels were not created with free will, and Lucifer brought the idea of rebellion to Heaven. In essence he was the progenitor of the idea of free will, and it caused war in Heaven - how else can you get angels in rebellion, without free will? So the idea is that he's irredeemable because he's an angel with the imaginative and rebellious power of a human mind.
Irresistible tragic mythology. Should we believe it's all literally true? Of course not, but the story is wonderful.

Really, it isn't a bad quesion. But they are right, Satan is not a man. Not human. And he made a clear choice and renounced God.
You ought to read about this, it really is quite interesting. If you have trouble witht that old world language, try "The Message" bible. It is a little more modern in the way it is written.

No one prays for Satan but Satan worshipers. Satan was casted to hell by God. When a person is cast to hell it is for eternity. We can pray for those sinners who have not yet been condemned. We have many opportunities in our lifetime to repent before we are cast to hell, and prayer for those in the mist of sin is helpful. However, once you are condemned it is FOREVER. No sense in praying for those who will never be released.

God gave the angles one chance and Satan choose to be God's enemy and so many other angles choose the same. God gave them that chance and now it's over and Satan is gonna burn in Hell some day. That's why he is trying to get as many people on earth to follow him into sin and die and go to Hell. It's very very sad how many people think it's all just a joke Hell, but it's not!

Satan is a fallen angel. He is not mortal. Our salvation is only certian with Christ. Angelic beings are not in need of salvation, because they do not sin If they were to sin, They could not be in the presence of God. That is why Satan was cast out of heaven.

Very interesting question :-)
I think it is an excellent idea! It seems very coherent, in my view - even though I am a non-theist.
Well, I think that there really are some Christians who pray for "Satan" 's forgiveness: keep searching...
