John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” (American Standard Version)

“And if any man sin, we have an advocate (parakletos) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1)
John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another parakletos.”

John 16:14 “He will glorify Me.”

The Quran brought by Muhammad glorifies Jesus:

“…who shall become known as the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, of great honor in this world and in the life to come, and [shall be] of those who are drawn near unto God.” (Quran 3:45)

Muhammad also glorified Jesus:

“Whoever testifies that none deserves worship except God, who has no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and that Jesus is the servant of God, His Messenger, and His Word which He bestowed in Mary, and a spirit created from Him, and that Paradise is true, and that Hell is true, God will admit him into Paradise, according to

“…an apostle who shall come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad” (Quran 61:6)

…where Jesus predicts the coming of Muhammad, Asad explains that the word Parakletos:

“…is almost certainly a corruption of Periklytos (‘the Much-Praised’), an exact Greek translation of the Aramaic term or name Mawhamana. (It is to be borne in mind that Aramaic was the language used in Palestine at the time of, and for some centuries after, Jesus and was thus undoubtedly the language in which the original - now lost - texts of the Gospels were composed.) In view of the phonetic closeness of Periklytos and Parakletos it is easy to understand how the translator - or, more probably, a later scribe - confused these two expressions. It is significant that both the Aramaic Mawhamana and the Greek Periklytos have the same meaning as the two names of the Last Prophet, Muhammad and Ahmad, both of which are derived from the Hebrew verb hamida (‘he praised’) and the Hebrew noun hamd (‘praise’).”

In Islam, they believe he is the messenger preophesied to come. But the christian faith does not accept the fact that there is no god but god. They always accept that Jesus is their lord.My GOD is the Lord GOD of Israel.Allah.And he is not jehova nor the christ.Even in the Psalms of David(pbuh). It was the so called believers who troubled his soul so much. And I can be wrong, but when I read the psalms I noticed he called him Lord GOD of Israel. Not Jehova. To give the true god HIS description to go along with the 99+1 qualities in my eyes..Because Jesus is not the GOD of JACOB(pbuh). But there is also Mormonism. They worship James Smith as the christians worship Jesus. And I am more than sure that they look to him as the comforter.Muhammad(pbuh) is "A" true prophet of THE GOD.Of the Lord GOD of ISRAEL.Decendant of Ishmael. And it says in the quran that there is none closest to the christ, son of mary, but him.And he is a witness and messenger to all mankind and we be witness to him.On the day when WE meet the true god and he asks did Muhamaad(pbuh) convey the message clearly. And I will HAVE to say yes.For he has. Peace Be Upon Him.Peace Be Upon You. and there is no god but god. See you in the next. SALAM

You are taking the verses out of context.
Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit.
If you read these FULL verses you will see that Mohammad could not have fullfilled this position

John 14:15
"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you.

John16:12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

It refers to the HOLY SPIRIT, not some guy.

And the reverence shown to Jesus in the Koran is merely that of a prophet. The Koran CLEARLY teaches against Jesus being one with the Father. Anyone believing in the Holy Trinity is considered a polytheist... Christians, according to Islam, worship multiple gods and therefore are "unbelievers" deserving of being destroyed.

The spirit of reality got here at the day of Pentecost within the higher room. And the prophecy in Deuteronomy is what God instructed devil within the lawn of Eden, He will ship one(Jesus) to overpower you.For the ones 4000 years God noted the approaching of Jesus. Not mohammed. But the bible does say that there will probably be fake christs to be able to come up and decieve many countries. You appear to select the ones scriptures that attract in your mind-set however have became a blind eye to people who oppose Islam. One extra query. Just precisely what guarantees within the Koran that don't seem to be observed within the bible.Where can I move within the Koran and uncover anything that the bible does now not quilt. The bible covers the brand new beginning, that's non secular prosperity. It covers medication. That is bodily prosperity. It covers finaces. That is fiscal prosperity. It even covers navy good fortune. Look at David and Goliath. So why did your mohammed ought to begin his possess faith and honestly hate individuals who don't comply with him from the Abrahamic covenant men and women, the Christian and the Jew.

Those passages clearly refer to the Holy Spirit - read the context.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Mohammed claimed that he saw - in reality and not in a vision - the stars of heaven hanging from the ceiling from silver chains. I have more than enough reason not to follow Mohammed.

I do respect your opinion and I may believe that Mohammad was sent by God, but in John the meaning was not him, Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit. Salaam Alecumm.

Muslims deny that Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords and King of kings and daily deny the divinity of the Lord.

"There are three essentials of the church: acknowledgment of the divine of the Lord, acknowledgment of the holiness of the Word [Bible], and the life which is called charity" (Divine Providence n. 259[3]).
