Pray without ceasing. When confronted with temptation STOP where you are and ask God to give you strength to avoid it. Do not listen to the promptings of the devil. If what you are about to do is contrary to the Bible THEN DO NOT DO IT. Stay in Bible study and keep going to church. The devil is very clever and you must learn how to side step his tricks when you are confronted with them. Jesus loves you and he will help you, but you have to let him help you.

Unfortunately, we can never be perfect and we cannot know the mind of God. I wouldn't sweat all the Leviticus laws. Sometimes getting too legalistic can really stress a person out and hamper a relationship with Christ. Jesus came, died and ascended so that we can be forgiven of all sins. We need to have faith that we are forgiven and can continue to learn, grow and become more like Christ. I do think that scriptural reading is wonderful because the Bible is indeed God's word and draws us closer to God's ways, but as mere humans, we cannot understand God's ways fully. As a result, we have a innate tendancy to stray and we need a savior (Jesus) so that we can receive the gift of grace and God's forgiveness. God has always loved us, even in this dark, sinful world we live in. Remember that.

If you know they are contrary, and you sincerely do not want to do the contrary things, then pray aloud and ask the Lord to take away your urge for those things. One at a time.

If it were smokes; ask the Lord to take away your desire to smoke and the urge or pressure you feel that leads you to smoke.

Desire is one thing. Pressure, strong urge, is demonic.
If you are walking in the spirit, your desire is already under control. If you feel anything like a heavy weight or pressure, a darkness or closing in, or a pushing to do something; all these feelings, or like thoughts, are signs of demonic activity.

Is the problem coming out of your heart or is it coming from outside? These are the only two questions. The Lord deals with both. These battles get worse if not dealt with at once.

It's the portion of your soul that has not yet been sucked into the religious brainwashing, that is desperately trying to get through to you before it's too late and you have completely lost of your humanity to the evil cult you're stuck in.

If there is a God, it must give Him pleasure to see us enjoy this life. It is truly sad that some people have convinced you that these pleasures you instinctively desire are bad. They're not. Enjoy them without guilt. Be very careful and self-aware because some people can go overboard and cause harm to themselves and others by overdoing certain pleasures, but if you can control yourself enough to enjoy them in moderation, no one will be hurt.

Please think for yourself. Don't base your moral code on an ancient obsolete text. Live life to the fullest every day.

The Apostle PAUL had the same Problem.
Take a Load off, and don't let the Devil put you under Comdemnation when you sin.
Run to JESUS when you sin, not away from HIM.
HE knew you were going to do it befor you did it.
HE LOVE's you.
The WAY out of Sin, is to keep putting the Word of GOD in you over and over again (read BIBLE, Pray the Word, Study BIBLE, hear Word Preached etc.),
get ENOUGH JESUS (Word of GOD) in you and you will get Free, slowly and Surely. Some Sin's take time to get rid of. Never give up, when it seem's like your at the end, hang-on cause your almost Free. The devil really cut's-up when you get close to getting Free. Hope this helps.
p.s. Apostle PAUL said, the thing's I don't want to do(Sinning), I am alway's doing, the thing's I want to do(Walk with JESUS, not Sinning) I don't know how to do. BUT JESUS showed him how to quite sinning, like I just told you.

Well,It seems alot of ppl are use to living below God's standard only because they dont believe they will go to hell if they do,yes God is forgiving, but The book of Romans 6 says shall we sin that grace may about...GOD FORBID! how shall we that are dead to sin live any more therein? Know ye not taht so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were babtized into his death. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life!, so the question should be am i truly born again( the bible way) which consist of being born again of the water and the spirit John 3:5,Acts 2:38,Acts 19:1-8...this is the way you can live up to Gods word.DO NOT believe that you have to sin, because Jesus came to save us FROM our sin not IN our sin

It impossible not to do something against what's in the Bible. It was set up that way. Most religions set impossible goals for their members so that the members feel a need for the religion.

Instead, try to set realistic goals for yourself and live up to those. Don't worry about whether any gods care about what you do. Worry about if you care what you do.

Be true to yourself, not some artificial goals set by clergy thousands of years ago (and modified by clergy today).

Because you still have a "Old Sin Nature!" The old body that is condemned, however the new nature is what God cares about.

Everytime you name and cite your sins to God, you are automatically in fellowship with God spiritually! And you can do that as many times as needed. For Jesus Christ has died for your sins, past, present, and future sins.

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jo 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

Taken from http://www.gbible.org/10_problem_solving_devices.htm

Just as there is nothing we can add to faith in Christ for salvation, there is nothing we can add to the acknowledgement of our sins for the recovery of our fellowship with God and the Filling of the Holy Spirit. Both believing in Christ for salvation and simply acknowledging our post-salvation sins for forgiveness are non-meritorious. They are totally and completely compatible with God's grace policy. Legalism wants to help God by adding human works which cancel grace. The moment we believe in Christ, we possess eternal life, and nothing can change that. The moment we acknowledge post-salvation sins, we are forgiven. Then we recover our fellowship with God and once again are filled with the Holy Spirit.

God is faithful in every case of Rebound, no matter how monstrous the sin of the believer may be to others. Legalism does not dictate to God; God always forgives. There never has been a sin acknowledged to God that has not been instantly forgiven.
God is "righteous" or "just" to forgive us because that sin was already judged at the Cross. God is righteous and justified in forgiving us because He has already judged that sin.
"Cleansing us from all unrighteousness" refers to all the unknown sins that occur, these are sins of ignorance for which we are held responsible.

Repent, ask God to forgive you in Jesus' name and move on. God will forgive you.
Maybe you shouldn't be "born again Christian".
Maybe you should be a "born from above Christian".
Think about it.

First of all, stop beating yourself up about it. You're human. You're washed in the blood. Praise God!

Second of all, if you want to turn from your sin(s) you need to ask God to deliver you from that sin. It's not enough to just be sorry. You need to want to change. When you have the desire to turn from it, God will see you through. Pray through the tempations. He will provide the out.
