The name "Jesus"... pronounced "Hey-soos" in Spanish, is very popular in Mexico. Mexico happens to be a very religious and Christian country focusing on Catholicism. Much reverence is given to Jesus and to His mother Mary. She is portrayed there as Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Many Mexicans name their children Jesus (Hay-soos) or Maria in honor of those from the Bible. Would you name your children Adolph or Judas? How about Jezebel?
