I certainly don't hate you, I just think you are a lesser person than me because you believe such nonsense. I know that the door is closed and you may never open it again, but if you were able to realize and understand what I have come to, you would be able to see the absurdity of your current beliefs.

Also, if you truly loved god with all your heart, there would be no room for anyone else. You would in fact be reduced to a psychopath, unable to feel any sympathy or empathy for any other person because you would be unable to love them.

The lack of reason and the obvious immaturity shown in this question leads me to think you are very young. Please don't take my beliefs as a personal attack, I am simply answering your question. Have a nice day.

People hate you -- and the rest of us Christians -- because Jesus said that we would be hated and persecuted for His name's sake. Don't be angry, be glad, because first of all, your persecution for His name's sake will be part of your reward in heaven. Also, be glad that you realise that you are given a faith and a grace that they have NOT been given, and they will NOT know the glory and mercy and tenderness of God the way that we do.

Nonbelievers will tell you that they hate you because you try to "force" your beliefs on them. They are deceived, and it is not their fault.

They will tell you that you are intolerant, but that too is a red herring. I do not have to accept someone's chosen lifestyle in order to show love and mercy to them. When someone says that we must tolerate their lifestyle, they are merely saying that we must agree with their ideals totally - kind of putting an end to the freedom that we enjoy here in America.

The opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is apathy. When you see that you are hated by nonbelievers, it is because somewhere deep down they realise that the God that you speak of, Jesus, IS who He says He is and that they ARE responsible for their actions. The reason for their anger and hate? They don't WANT to believe it, and so their heads force their hearts to "believe" something different, and will go to great lengths to make it happen, even rage and hate.

Be of good cheer.

It's because you love Him, simply stated. The link below has many references to Jesus warning the disciples about hate to come towards them, as well as references in the epistles.

John 15:18-20 has a title of "The World Hates the Disciples" rightfully so:

18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

The world wants us to be in it, but being in Christ is contrary to the world. Just keep on in the Spirit and show His life to the world!

It's normal. If you are doing what Jesus said to do.
To be a true christian you can't do it your way.
You must do what Jesus said to do, and that is to find interested people and teach them about God's kingdom. You have to go where people are and preach. Yes, people will hate you for it, Jesus said they would. If people hate you for preaching the truth, you should be happy! Why not visit our website, learn and be happy with us.

Well, if you are judgmental of others or give the impression that you are better than others, I can understand. I can't tell you how many Christians have "witnessed" to me and then when I've told them what church I go to (Episcopal) they tell me I'm in the wrong church. That tends to put people off.
