please stfu, you conservative wanker
Just because your IQ is less than your shoe size and Kerry has more courage and love for his country in his little finger than DDD (draft-dodger Dubya) has in his whole body is no reason to go spouting vitriolic here.
Go back to your fishin' and huntin' and sheep abusin', and leave the rest of us alone.

Kerry is clearly intelligent. He has a number of deficiencies that proved to be challenges in the last presidential election, but he is far from a moron. I have even heard him pronounce the word "nuclear" correctly, despite his Massachusetts accent.
He is hardly "the mouth piece for democrats." Indeed, many Democratic voters were very dissatisfied with his being chosen as the nominee in 2004. The Democratic Party has no one at this time who might credibly be considered an effective spokesperson or "mouth piece."

All so-called standardized intelligence tests are subjective and of questionable value. None-the-less, I think Kerry, whatever he scores on a test on a given day, has a better brain (and more independent judgment) than the functionally illiterate,
( http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/mar2004/nf20040312_0969_db056.htm ) idiot ( http://aad.english.ucsb.edu/docs/bushstyle19.html ) who presently occupies the White House. He can't even be called a "mouthpiece" for the Republicans as whenever he opens his mouth he mangles his native language. So if you are asking whether I want a chief executive who makes his own choices (whatever his I.Q.) or a howdy-dooty for a bunch of senile operatives like Cheney and Rumsfelt to front their lies to the American people ( http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/02/10/iraq.intelligence/ ) then, yes, I think John Kerry has a brain and will change the idiot policies of the present administration.

Alright-I don't want to waste a great deal of time on this, but the first respondent on this question is calling GW a draft dodger. May I point out that he has brought to light a double standard? Didn't matter that Clinton went abroad to avoid the draft. Now Bush served in the reserves, but he did serve.
As for sKerry's IQ, it is possible to be "book smart" and still not have a lick of sense.
I go now to do laundry.

His education and brains are not in question, just his politics.
The one thing about it all that I just don't get - If the democrats truly want to win the presidency, why do they keep nominating candidates so far out to the left, politically?
If they nominated someone moderate, they would probably win easily.
My examples: Dukakis, Mondale, Kerry, Gore... (If Edwards had been the candidate, he would be president today...)
I am a lifelong Republican, and I hope they never catch on...

Apparently, military IQ tests for both Bush and Kerry were administered. Bush scored slightly higher.
Make of it what you will.
Here is a source I found when searching just now. I can't vouch for it, but it's what came up:

I high IQ is very different from having wisdom. Kerry obviously has the first, but lacks the second.

Why is it that ever since Bush became president, Republicans are afraid of intelligent people? Oh, yeah... because intelligent people aren't just mouthpieces for oil companies and the super rich.

I wouldn't call him the mouth piece for Democrats in America, but I wouldn't doubt he's intelligent.

I'd figure he got the 165 the same way he got his three purple hearts - somebody owed him a favor and hooked him up.
