Yes. According to Wikipedia "Chappelle reportedly went to South Africa to purify himself and to do some soul searching. He converted to the Muslim faith in 1998, helping him reflect during his time in South Africa."

initially Dave Chapelle switched over to Islam out of Christtianity to Islam And second No, because Im a my personal man or woman and Dave Chapelle doesnt tell me what to beleive and what no longer

Yeah he is. Saw him on some show, "The Actors Studio" I think. He said he was Muslim but not in the traditional sense.
