Try this on for size: If god isn't interested in stopping wars and ending greed and murder, then I doubt that he will take time out of his very busy schedule to warn you about that next drink.

Look at yourself. You're tempting God. If you want a sign, just look at yourself. You've become so numb, because you've justified your sins by saying that if God wanted you to do something, he'd part the red sea, or something. If you expected God to save you from your sins without any effort on your part, you were terribly mistaken. You have made a mockery of his love for you.
Pray, sir. And put all the effort you can to stop this problem.

This is your lucky morning. I'll give you a sign- admitt your powerless over alcohol and your life is unmanageable. Go to your telephone book and look up A.A. Make that all important phone call. I am not in the program but I have been affected by others drinking and I'm in a different program. It works if you work it- so work it your worth it. Good Luck .

Well, in Matthew 4:7, it states:
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
Here Jesus is refuting Satan when he is trying to tempt and test Jesus. Christ quotes Deuteronomy 6:16 here. The heading of chapter 6 is "Love the Lord your God."
There are many references to drunkeness in the Bible, a more simpler of which is from Ephesians 5:18:
"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."
The reason that we're not supposed to get drunk is because it leads us to do -more- sin, which is bad. Now, although you may or may not be drunk right now, it would probably not be a good idea to have more alcohol. Thanks for listening!

a* Yea, there are many who do say: If thou wilt show unto us a sign from heaven, then we shall know of a surety; then we shall believe. 18 Now I ask, is this faith? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for if a man knoweth a thing he hath no cause to believe, for he knoweth it. 19 And now, how much more bcursed is he that knoweth the will of God and doeth it not, than he that only believeth, or only hath cause to believe, and falleth into transgression?
