If you are old enough (and able to) do you vote? Does not matter for which side, or why – just that you do? If you do vote, tell me why? And if not, why?

O, and in case your curious, I am 21, and can and do vote.

First to duck602..your vote counts toward getting the electoral vote.

Some people don't realize how important voting is. Our leaders shape our country's future. Usually the people that don't vote are the ones who sit back and complain about our government, which I find disturbing. It is a huge right and privilege we get in this Country. Just think of all the countries that don't have a say in their leaders and their quality of life.

You are 21 and do vote. I like you started voting at an early age which is not usual. I am 39 now. Many Americans your age do not vote and are being very responsible by letting others decide for them. This is because they are still forming their own opinions about things. You and your peers are brand new adults. It takes time to come to your own conclusions. Most of your peers are watching the news and they do care. Be fair because they are paying attention. They just aren't ready to jump in and good for them. When you are my age, life will have taught you some lessons and no doubt you will change your mind about a few things. I certainly did. Elections would just be a random lottery if everyone was required to vote.

Screw Rock the Vote. If someone does not have intelligent ideas of who should be in office and why than they are being responsible by not voting no matter what age they are.

I'm 40 and have been registered since I was 18. I mostly vote democratic, but occasionally cross party lines and have never missed an election.

By the way, Tennessee is having a state primary tomorrow, August 3rd, polls will be open 8:00 am - 8:00 pm - so all you Tennesseans need to get out and vote!

i vote but the stats show that very few people actually vote. Here is an example the city next to me has 70,000 people in it. the big issue has been there for 2 years straight and most people want it changed yet only 11000 people voted and it was not overturned. Still the nonvoters manage to complain on the resultr. We need to get the whiners to the polls
