Oh sure. Just do what Rev. Jimmy Swaggart did: have fun, sin, cry on TV and get people to feel sorry for you and all will be forgiven.
Or Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker and Rev. Jerry Falwell and that whole PTL mess? Pat Robertson saying to murder Chavez?
That's right, just do what you want and then blame it on the devil and pray for forgiveness. And don't forget to ask people to $end in more money !!

I would tend to agree. If Christians still operated under the assumption that God would only forgive a few minor sins, and any others would earn you a place in hell, then maybe fewer people would choose to live a Christian lifestyle.
The Puritans were like early Christianity in many ways. They believed in living very simple lives and restraining themselves from temptation.
Now, every sin is forgivable if it was "God's will" and the commandments don't really apply. There are no mortal sins anymore, no way to guarantee a place in hell unless you aren't a follower of Christ.
Being a Christian has never been easier, and is, as far as I have observed, it is the easiest religion to be affiliated with, as nothing is really expected.
To the idiot that said -"Isn't it easy being an atheist? You never have to take responsibility. If something bad happens, you just blame the God that you try so hard not to believe in"-
I am an atheist, and have never had to "try so hard" not to believe in a God. Do you really think that we are lying? That we all secretly recognize that there is a god, only to insist that there isn't? What sense would that make?
If God truly was reaching out to me, loved me and listened to me, I would be able to sense it, just like some theists claim they can. Since I cannot, is this my fault, or is your religion flawed?

We Are Responsible for our own actions.
People have been given the grace of free will. We decide our path, however, there are consequences to our decisions.
Satan may tempt us... but we remain responsible for how we respond. Sorry.... Being a Christian is anything but easy. In fact, when we decide to live for Christ and take up our cross and follow Him...life can become much more difficult than it was before.
Jesus said he did not come to bring peace, but to bring division. This means to separate His flock from the unbelievers. A Christian will often find deep divisions among family. Long time friends drop you like a hot potato. And I'm not just rambling here...I have experienced it.

Again, your question shows a basic ignorance of Christian teaching and theology.
Jesus Christ demands personal responsibility from His followers. The doctrines of repentance and forgiveness are core values. To receive forgiveness for sin (any sin) requires:
1. The existence of a moral code, which is based on an authority figure far above the whims of the believer.
2. A realization of the moral code.
3. An infraction against said moral code.
4. The realization of said infraction.
5. Contrition for said infraction (feeling sorry for your actions, NOT being sorry you were caught!)
6. Admission of the wrongdoing (confession); confession of personal responsibility of the wrong action.
7. Petition for forgiveness from the giver of the code.
In our Creation account, Adam tried to "pass the buck" to Eve, making both her and God responsible for his selfish actions. Eve tried to "pass the buck" to the serpent. NEITHER ACTION WORKED.
We are all about taking responsibility for our actions. To blame "the devil" for our own selfish actions is nothing more than a con, it is NOT Christian teaching!

The Christian doesn't work with the devil.
The devil knows very well God,and he is afraid from God.
God had permeted the devil( a while) only to inducement the mens.
The mens(the Christians too) are the responsability of their facts .
Is the mens fault,if they listen to the bed part of their character(which mens get in the life on earth, meny times by bed education),i think that is used by devil.

It isn't easy to be a Christian at times, but I wouldn't trade it either.
Furthermore, the devil doesn't make you do a thing; it's all your choice on what happens. Resisting temptation and putting it out of your mind is the first step in regaining control of your thoughts that begin the process of sinning.
Only through the constant resistence to sinful thoughts can we make the right choices and walk the righteous path before God.

What?
If the devil didn't speak to me, I would not have though of it, I would not have done it!
Is that what you mean?
If someone told you to jump of a bridge would you? To the rocks below?
I know of few Christians who are so.
I have heard Christians complain that the devil is doing things to them, and they feel like Job.
but that is not your question!
Anyone who says "The devil made me do it" is christian in name only, like a rino.
A republican in name only

Clearly, you aren't Christian at all and thus state false assumptions from having no source whatsoever on the religion. I suggest you keep silent- it would be best for you and others.
