A good rule of thumb is, if you think you should see a doctor, then do it. It is always better for a doctor to tell you nothing is wrong than to not find out and have something be wrong. From what you are describing, it is not mild. You don't have to wait until you are suicidal to take depression seriously. Fix the problem BEFORE it gets that bad.
When you go to see a therapist or counselor, be HONEST. Try not to downplay or excuse what you are feeling. Lay it on the line. They can help you, but only if they know what's wrong!
Depression keeps you from following your normal routine and gets in the way of you doing the things you enjoy. It habitually disrupts your daily life.
As for eating and sleeping, depression can affect your normal cycles either way. I am in treatment for depression and I eat like a pig and sleep like a rock!

Deprssion can be underestimated....
Some people belive that it is all a myth, however, deprission is very real and can be triggered by numerous situations.
It could be that you have a chemical imbalance, in which case you might need a mild anti-depressant to correct the imbalance. This does not have to be taken for the rest of your life, but for at least 6 months to a year.
Some people who have trouble coping with the everyday life might need to take it for longer, but you need to understand that their issues might be a lot deeper then that and medication can be an easy way out, literally, you are putting a bandage over a wound that will not heal. In that case, medication is not a solution.
Others are affected by some major life changing events, like birth, marriage, death, change of country, etc..... For these, only time will help heal. I know of many people who have been depressed over these things and I can tell you that if you go to a shrink, the first thing they will do is prescribe pills and then a weekly session with them. While it might be good to talk so someone, think twice about going on meds..... Some people it helped them, other not so much....
What you are describing "could" be a mild, mild, depression and you need to find the cause of it. There is nothing wrong if you go and see a doctor to explain your situation. Don't ignore it, rather monitor how you feel and when.

Take a break you worry too much. Of course he may go out with the guys and have fun. This very good they need to on-wind from during the day, my husband does it, no matter what you wish from him you are being selfish about yourself and it isn't depression. We all have the box of Kleenex's when watching a drama, that's okay, its normal. Your not depressed but jealous of envy. Start picking some friends yourself and do something creative or visit a fair that's interesting learn something and you're immature, if you need to go to the Doctor than its for your headache and not your bf's.

No, I dont think you have depression, you are obviosly having mood swings and have a problem with letting your boyfriend go out. Maybe you have insecurity issues. Or it could be that time of month and your horomones are going crazy. It happens to me occassionally. Sometimes I cry at the drop of a hat.

Depression? maybe, This sounds like Hormones!!! Also, you are in a very unhealthy relationship pattern. Let it go...breathe. Then run, don't walk to see your Doctor before it turns into depression.

You sound very unhappy. Sounds like your boyfriend might be contributing to this. I think you have got a very hard decision to make.
I used to suffer with severe deppression I found that exercising helped and going out and socialising. xx (then I got divorced!! extreme but he was no good for me now I have never been so happy)

Have you recently given birth? if not then your behaviour is not depresion but maybe obsesion....Perhaps talk it over with your boyfriend how you feel when he does these things, so he's aware and perhaps come to some compromise.
If you have recently given birth then I think your suffering from postnatal depression and you need to seek help.

You are right, it sounds like something is going on. I would encourage you to see a doctor and a counsellor to see how to get to the bottom of this.

You can't diagnose yourself with depression, if you have one or more symptoms, you should go get checked and see if you do have serious depression and your doctor will give you medication for it, if it's that bad.
