She says all of her other boyfriends were always taller then her and she would have a hard time being with a man that was almost the same height as her even though he is a great guy.

Tell her to wear some flats, and stop being so superficial...that was so high school...so she needs to get over it. Furthermore, there are many great guys...and so she needs to give him a chance. My motto is "Don't knock til you try it" So tell her to give it a shot...its not going to kill her.

Yes that would be superficial. Just beceause the guy is shorter than her doesn't mean a thing and should keep her from dating him. She should atleast date him for awhile and get to know him before she decides. My gf and I are approximently the same height and it isnt a problem for us and it doesn't really matter to me.

Mr. Chivalry says, "It is superficial. With all of the complaints about jerks, height should NOT be an issue if a man possesses qualities a woman seeks."

Mr. Chivalry has spoken.

very superficial. If she cares about such things, sounds like the guy is too good for her.

I'd urge the guy to move on and find a nice chick whose comfortable with his height

It looks like it on the surface, however, one really has to be comfortable with their partner in all aspects.. so if it is a big issue for her, better for her to stick with guys who are taller than herself, and that she feels OK with.
However, if she can get over the issue, which might take a bit of work, more power to her.

she has the right to choose who she dates...I don't think it's superficial at all. Maybe she just doens't like short guys...leave her alone. It's a matter of taste, not superficial crap.
