the only critique that i can provide as of right now is that we don't know if the rats that the experiment was performed on were obese prior to the administration of the ghrelin vaccine. That is a flaw that cannot be evaluated until the specific medical journal that the results of the study are published in is looked into. If you can find that journal, that will provide you with the background and problems that the study underwent. It will tell you more than the newspaper article, it may just require more research to understand it. Also, as with any vaccine, there is always going to be the possibility of complications, look at the correlation that there has been with the MMR vaccine and autism.

I am a little unsure of what it is you are asking? The testing being done on weight with this vaccine is far from being approved by the FDA for use on humans. This study is just the beginning, not the end. These scientist are simply stating what they have discovered on lab animals and will have to continue to see if this works on humans, which could be years away. Side effects are unknown at this time. Are you looking for a "quick fix" for being overweight? Are you having difficulty loosing? The only real "fix" for weight is three letters normally used to work with diabetes: DIE. This stands for diet, insulin and exercise. The insulin is for diabetics, people who have difficulty metabolising sugar. You need a complete physical from a doctor, then a prescribed diet and exercise plan. The real thing you seem to be concerned with is giving up eating anything you want and still be thin. Unfortunately very few people have metabolisms that are slanted in that direction. The majority of us have to diet and exercise. Hope this help.

This is too new to give it a massive try...we need more evidence, and we need it used in people that accept to belong to the experiment...(but who would? Maybe VERY DESPERATE people that would want to find out if it works, no matter the consequences) Too soon to answer your question.
