I wouldn't send the item until it has been paid, can you not report them if they don't pay?

Hi there,
EBay has a strict procedure in place to deal with this sort of occurence. The person in question seems to be messing with you, especially if the sum in question is rediculously over-inflated.
Once you have sent the buyer an invoice, he must reply within a certain period. If he dooes not, you can go to the dispute console which can be found on the left-hand side of the screen. Then E-bay will contact the buyer and remind him/her that they must pay. If they do not, they receive a strike against their name and eBay may compensate you with credit.
Hope this helps!

Just follow the rules, if they don't pay, then just open a despute, give them the last chance, if they still dont pay, then close the dispute, get your fees back and ban that person from being able to buy off you in the future.
I do this often without any problems
Then leave them bad feedback.

eBay is the largest online marketplace and one of the most popular ways to earn an income from home with a PC and internet connection. Selling on eBay is inexpensive and easy to start. Ebay has a number of tools for sellers to maximise sales. These are eBay Pulse, Hot items report, merchandising calendar. By sourcing products at a low price, you can increase your profit. You can ignore them and give a 'second chance offer' to the next highest bidder. I'd only do this after trying contact with the winning bidder first. They may want your item but made an error bidding.

You can second chance the item to someone who bidded who is genuine, or relist the item. You can also restrict users that bid on your items within your profile for example: no users that have 5 feedback or less, no users that have been a member for less than a month and so on..... Its under My Account -> Preferences ->Buyer requirements. Where you can change who bids on your items from now on.

Just don't send it till they've paid, and if they don't pay open a dispute, if they still don't pay report it to e bay and give them negative feedback. Thats what I did with 2 people who didn't pay. If it's a genuine mistake, then just cancel the sale and relist it, or make a second offer.

open a dispute in the dispute console in my ebay, chances are they will do something about it as they won't get their money unless the buyer pays.
other than that offer it as a second chance to the next highest bidder if you are happy to sell at that price.

you can report them as a non payer so you can get your sellers fees back first. you have to go through several processes.... 1st after 3 days you send the reminder notice then if they don't respond within 7 days i think, you can report them as a nonpayer, then you can send a second chance offer to the person you think placed a real bid

I am sure in the terms and conditions it says that you are bound to pay. If they dont they can be reported and they will not receive a good review. Dont send the item.
