My sister has hep C. She has her good days where she feels fine and then she has days where she cant get out of bed. She is starting treatments this Friday. From what she is being told she will feel like she has the flu for about a year, but there is a chance it will go away with these treatments. Just be there emtionaly for your brother and he should really go see a doctor to see if he can do the treatment. Now is the best time to take them, seeing that he can still live at home and have help. My sister is a single mom and has a house, meaning it adds so much more stress. Good luck, I will pray for you guys.

Hi

Hep C is an illness that attacks the liver and over a period of time usually 20 to 30 years symptoms begin to appear. The most noticeable symptom at first is extreme fatigue. There are good anti viral treatments for Hep C. Your brother should be seeing a gerontologist who specializes in this infection. The antiviral medications help lower the viral load to slow down the damage being done and can also put the infection into remission so it is not doing damage at all. They also do liver transplants for Hep C patients if all else fails. So there are many options, keep your hopes up there are new treatments being developed all the time.
Good luck :)

Opt for the treatment. It will take about a year, but it will be worth it. Good luck.
