i presume you want to know how to download from the internet i.e games
firstly you need to make a folder on your hard drive to use as a area to keep your downloads...to do this go to local disc and on the left of the window it has "make new folder"click this and a new folder will appear in the window...right click this and rename this "downloads 1 "
now when you see a game or program you wish to download on the web you should press download and a dialog box will appear.you will be given a option to open or save press save,it will open a window with desktop in it,go to the drop down box at the top and drop it and click on local disk and when you do this a list of folders in the hard drive will appear,find the folder"downloads 1" and click this ,you will now have a empty folder as you havent saved anything to this yet,in the bottom right you will see save,press this and a download box will then appear,it will have certain info in it like download speed,source,destination,estimated time left,also there is a box in the bottom left which says "close this box when download completes...tick this
when your download is completed the dialog box will close and a notification sound will ring
then to run this game or program just go to the folder in local disk"downloads 1" and click the download you wish to install,however it is strongly advisable to scan any downloads with a up to date anti-virus scanner before you install anything on your computer
