I just recently started to take the steps to enroll in school. It is pretty far away from my home and my sister now wants to enroll with me and wants me to pick her up and drive her at the time I'm going I'll be leaving from work which is no way near her and the ride home is out of the way as well. Not to mention I really want to do well and feel her in the class with me is a bit of a distraction. Should I help her or myself?

Just talk with her. I am sure she can understand. Since she's your sister, you know her very well, and you also know how to maker her accept your decision... to meet her directly in school. I would first make it clear that I won't do it all year long. But may be for a few days, I would pick her up and drive her. And I would help her to organize herself so she can go by herself to school.

Tell your sister how you feel; that you would be distracted from your studies. However, if she wants to better herself and immulate you, I think you should be willing to help with her transportation. Here's the deal: She looks up to you. You want to teach her to be generous, so you have to set a good example. Ask her to take another class at the same time if possible. If not, then grin and bear it, cause she's you SISTER...blood is thicker than water anyday.

tell your sister: " sorry, sis but I wont have time to pick you up and get to school on time." and the price of gas is too high. you will need to get yourself to school if you want to go.
just be honest that you cant do this. and that you are not being selfish. you have to think of yourself and your budget and time for yourself. not worrying about picking another person up.

what you are saying is practically very right.... but iam sure your sister would not understand your point of view & will not right if your refuse... so you ll have to find a mid-way solution to your problem...tell her in a different way or make her understand in a reasonable manner...

it sounds to me that you dont want your sister to do as well as you do! You really should help your sister, she is just trying to make a life for herself
