You'll never know until you try.. stop making yourself crazy.. just say hi hows it going? start off with that... next day say the same and ask him a question.. like, Where did you get your shirt? you can reply of I just love that store.. did you ever try that restaurant down the street from there.. etc etc.. good luck

Find out something that he likes, like a particular sport he plays or something like that. When you start talking to him (start out with the usual Hi, I'm so and so, etc etc), then you can say So.., I heard you play / like (insert hobby here). And if you did your homework correctly, he will say yeah.
Then you can say well, I'm kinda interested in it but I don't know too much about it. If he likes what he does (and most guys do), he'll start talking. Keep it going with stuff like, is it hard, why do you do it, what makes it so great... etc etc. Guys love it when a girl asks them about stuff they like, it gives them a chance to show off in a subject they're strong in. This also can lead to a good date. If he likes basketball, for instance, perhaps the two of you can go to a game.
Also, if he's any kind of conversationalist, he'll ask you about your interests once he's done spewing.

Be yourself don't try to impress him of flirt with him. If you imagine him as just another guy you might be able to talk to him without freezing. I take classes with five guys and I'm the only girl and some of them are really cute, but if i just chill and treat them like any one else i fine.

Well honestly I HAD the same situation. There is a guy at my school and he thinks that I'm obsessed over him. Well I'm not. I never talk to him and I freak out every time i see him. So just let it go. Don't talk to him.
That's what I did.

I know it' silly but I bet it will spark a convo. Play the clumsy girl role and bump into him intentionally or drop something in his presence. If he is a stand up type of guy he will assist you and the magic begins!

make a direct eye contact with him and stare at him,,let him know you are interested,,,take your time and wait for the right time and tell him that you are interested to be friend with him.
