You are quite right, and I agree with your analysis. Monotheistic religions are all about power and control, and about "the one and only" way to live, to think and to do things.
They are therefore by their nature violent, aggressive and brutal against others, and often destructive against their own people.
It would be good, and a sign of a new enlightenment, if people would return to the positive and peaceful ways the Pagan Path offers (and did so for thousands of years before monotheistic fanatics appeared). There are currently more Druids in Western Europe than there were at any time before in History, and more and more the environmentally conscious people see the clear connection between fanatic monotheism, aggressive politics and the destruction of the planet.
Personally I have left organised religion behind me a long time ago, and I have never been so free and so spiritual as I am now when I did belong to a Church and followed her orders.

Everyone has the right to their faith.
How DARE you think you can change people's beliefs! You're no better than a Christian trying to convert Pagans, you know. You're just doing it the other way around.
Plus do you realize that all races and all religions have killed others? It's called war. *rolls eyes*
I'm Kemetic Orthodox (a revival/reconstruction of the ancient Egyptian religion), but do I think it's right for everyone? No. I think people have their own free will to choose the one that IS right for them.

So you find paganism more pleasing, so you will believe that.
This is no different than carving an idol out of stone and believing that it is your God. You are finding something you like and saying "let's go with this" - you must know that there is no way that what you are going to believe is really true.
God has revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ.

Welcome back, children. I don't convert people, that's not my game. It's a sin in my religion. But I will teach all seekers who come to me.
1. We do not worship idols, that's silly. But we do like to make representations of our Gods. It pleases them, and us. Does it not please you to have a picture of your beloved on your desk at work, does it not make your beloved feel special? We understand that Gods are beyond material understanding, they are also, by the way, sexless.
2. Our Gods have revealed themselves many times, in many persons, long before, and many times since Jesus. Nothing against Jesus, but it doesn't make sense that there should be so many different creatures of every species on Earth and only one energy creature called a God. Sides, material creatures can't hold "God" so Jesus can't have been a "God" or he would have blown up at birth. If I came to you now and said, I speak for Eos, you'd think I was crazy. If I came to you now and said, I am the second coming of Christ, you'd think I was equally crazy.
3. Pagans recognize war as a force of Nature. Saying we wouldn't have War if we were all Pagan is silly. There were wars before. The Roman Empire was Pagan before it was the Holy Roman Empire. We have lots of War Gods, including female War Gods, Morrigan and Aphrodite (surprised are you?) for instance. But you are right, Pagans have better tolerance for differeing belief systems. They go to war for different reasons.

Why not polytheism? What about the Norse Gods? Or the Greek Gods? Mind you those societies were quite war like I suppose? Or even Hinduism, they're quite peacful aren't they?

confident and no. confident, to a international of fools breaking us down. No, to letting us all be because of fact that some fools think of they do no longer look to be fools, and that they choose the main monitoring. (monitoring, no longer unavoidably controlling). ... i agree... bring back the goddess!!!
unfortunately monotheism has taught people not to question themselves, and to lie conveniety when the truth is presented to them. nice situation, so why change it. it is only after WWIII, that the revival will really happen en mass.

Why do we have to worship anything at all? Things just are. We should have respect for other people and for nature and that's all we need.
