I have a healthy diet, I drink very little alcohol, I am not exposed to toxins nor radiation, negative on Hepatitis A, B and C, but still my ALT levels are consistently above the maximum level, indicating an inflamed liver. I was tested positive on Haemochromatosis, but my blood iron levels remain within the normal range.
Any idea what can be the cause of my liver problem ?

Your liver needs rest.Take carbohydrates, much less protein, and no oils and fats.Give up alcohol completely.Avoid pills even if these are vitamin pills.

A virus could case liver inflammation - it's not one they normally check for, either. It's called cytomegalovirus - or CMV for short. They can run a specific blood test to diagnose that, if they know what to look for. I had it in 2005 & my liver was so inflamed that I was unable to sleep on my stomach until it went away. Good luck & I hope all will be well for you . . .

It might be from drinking alcohol if you do alot of that. I would say try and quit if you do drink.
