Yes it will. But not by much. I've done it before. Then, you wait four weeks and can use the same lighter shade and it will lighten a bit more. Or buy highlighter. Highlight your hair--and then it 4-6 weeks, use a lighter shade of brown dye and it will lighten.

No - I've tried it. Once you've dyed your hair a dark color, you'll have to have it 'stripped' before you can go back to a lighter color. It's best to get it done by a professional. When I tried it myself my hair turned bright, neon orange with some red streaks and some blond streaks. When I had it done professionally, it turned a bit orangish/blond, but she was then able to re-dye it to a gorgeous caramel color. It's not good for your hair, but that's the price we pay to look gorgeous, right?

No it wont, anything darker has to be lightened first, so if you have almost black hair and u want to go lighter, u need to have it lightened first then put the colour on that you want i.e Lightest Brown

Nope you need to go get some Kalidascope and some activator and that will lift it 4-6 shads that should put you back at light brown. Or just go back with blond and white highlights and it will give you a pretty carmal and blond streek look. leave the dark under the hilights. I love that look. that is how me and my sister in law have ours.

tried that once it went orange, so wouldn't recommend . was it a permanent dye you put on, if yes you probably should go to a salon to get the dark colour stripped out and then have it deep-conditioned and re-coloured. if it was a semi-permanent colour you can strip the colour lighter yourself by washing it a lot with anti-dandruff shampoo. good luck x

no, if ur goal is light brown u should use a medium blond and aply die from the ends to the roots (roots take color faster) than if too light u can tone with a darker color. Good Luck!!!

Color does NOT remove color. If you have re-growth (roots) they will turn light brown, but the rest of it will not. Go to a professional or let that grow out.

no it will not, u will have to try and stip the colour out of ur hair first, try washing your hair with head and sholders, or mix bleach, poroxide and water together and rub this on ur hair, watchin it all the time this will make the colour fade then maybe it will work after this.
