First you must determine what is actrually stressing you..Being alone isn't a very good reason. It becomes worse at night becuase you have little interference to keep you from concentrating on something or anything, to worry about. You have created a habitual situation and just can't find your way out. The self induced stress will have a telling effecton your body as well as your energy level. You are actually changing the chemistry of the body and the mind.. If you don't change what you think about, it will only become worsened. Time will take its toll on your health.
Come up with some idea to change what you think about or a way to stop thinking about you.. Reading a good book,is one way to accomplish this little chore. There are numerous others. But you have to be aware that worrying always revolves around you, somehow.. and you allow it to progress until it becomes stressful to you.

Mix up with some good friends and never stay in confinement. Think positively and have a goal in your life and be after that goal to get rid of unwanted time wasted in thinking something else. Talk to God and be close to nature. Observe nature's creation; see how flowers bloom, birds sing and fly, water flows, air blows, trees dance and many more without anybody's support. You being human being do not need to ask for support and learn from them. Eat good amount of vegetables, salad, fruits to feel more energetic. Drink fruit juices and sufficient water to help the body function properly. Cut down on alcohol and tobacco consumption. Find out the cause of your stress and keep yourself busy in searching the solution for your disorder in stead of depending upon somebody else, since it is your problem and you have to find solution. We are here to give you a moral support. Take care and be in good health.

I think at night our defenses are down plus we have less distractions to turn to so what is inside of us comes up more. I find what helps are things like exercise, meditation, writing things down, talking it out with someone . It is good to reflect on things but if it turns into a negative circling then you need to take a break and do things that will help change the channel- I find swimming helps me get energy back.

Wow, 2 years is a long time to feel the way you've described. I wouldn't be able to answer any of your questions. Have you considered speaking to a professional (counselor, clergy, etc).
YOu may also want to have a physical to rule out any diseases and be very open and honest with your doctors. If you don't feel that they are taking your symptoms seriously, get a second opinion.
Try to get out and get a little more exercise than you're currently doing and eat right.

At night your resistance is lower. To alter your life will rid you of your problems. Encoded somewhere in your unconscious mind is a past problem. You need to run from it by altering your life or find it and fight it. Think about all the things that you know have disturbed your ethos of life. Confront them with your mind and fight them until you are the victor. I'ts not easy, you may have to change your world.

Hmm.... during relaxation the subconcious mind is much stronger, hence the dreaming during REM. It's our subconscious mind which pushes through our negative thoughts while our conscious mind tries to rationalise them.
You need to reprogram your subconscious mind - NLP or CBT might help or you could just accumulate as many positive experiences as you can! Do things you are good at, etc

hey buddy!
because at nighttime, most people don't have activities to keep them distracted from their anxiety. a job, for example, keeps people busy during the day. being alone doesn't help sometimes either.
maybe try counseling? or chat rooms with people who have the same problems as you?
don't know what else to tell you-i hope you find peace of mind and a nice special someone.
