Because most Americans are at work earning a living for their family or themselves. They don't have time to protest and most don't want to.

It is being protested, Cindy Shehan is a prime example, but it does not get much media coverage, what is needed is a Million poor person march on Washington. Trouble is many poor people cannot afford to get on a bus and travel to Washington to protest what is the worst administration in history, Maybe a protest day in your own town, like the day without a mexican, I am sure that it would be ignored. So the real answer is to vote. Change the leadership every election until you get people that are responsible to the people and not to the special interest.

That is just your opinion. What happens if people do start protesting and then America is run the way you like it? Should the other side start protsting because they don't like the way the country is being run? It just turns into a vicious cirlce. Maybe you should go live in North Korea or Saudi Arabia and then be grateful that you can protest.

It is funny you say that. From my experience neither the Republican or the Democrats really want the people involved in the process. We are being ignored. I have also been active on the web since 2003, and that has come to nothing. Can't tell you why we can't seem to build a grass roots opposition, but most of what I see seems to be allot of chatter on the web, and not allot of concrete action.

A military draft. As long as there are enough volunteers stupid enough to serve the interests of the Bush regime there will be no mass protests. Start putting bodies who know the truth on the front lines and it will be 1968 all over again..

I don't know, Mike. What are you doing about it? Serious question, by the way. All I know to do is vote and call my congressmen, but don't have a lot of faith in making a dent that way.

we americans are self centred and selfish....we have been used to too many good things in the past....to get up and protest will only happen when they .....these unmoving butts get hit themselves....then they will be crying father and crying mother to raise an army to challenge the nut who is running the country................

Protesting needn't be necessary. The ballot box is far more powerful.

We can protest the Liberal media? Why? they wouldn't put it on the air anyway.
