This has never happened before, has anything this strange ever happened to you? Why do you think this happened....I want to log the time, around 6:10 am Wednesday morning. August 2,2006

I was sitting here playing yahtzee onliine, and my home phone rang just once, I checked the caller ID, and it was my cell phone number. I thought hum , I didnt think my cell phone was missing but maybe someone found it and is calling a number on it to see who it belongs too. Well I dialed my cell phone back only to hear it ringing right next to me in my purse?????? WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT ABOUT?????? I have to admit I got cold chills.....

Yes this has happen to me before, except it was my ex-gf home phone who called my cell. I answered and of course no one was there. I kept saying Hello, Hello. A few days later my ex called and wanted to know why I called and left a message saying hello, hello. She thought I was playing games.

I told I didn't called her. I even swear to her that it wasn't me. So she told me to come over and hear the message. I thought she was pulling my leg but when I heard the message it was really me. It was incredible and hard to believe. Then I remembered the call where no one had answered and I told her about it. She wasn't too convinced, I knew something went wrong with the phone signals.

As it happened to me, your home phone and cell are electronic devices with glitches. Prior to your incident (one week to one month), you or a family member called from your phone to your cell or vice versa. Then a signal got cross and your cell called your home phone. I personally wouldn't be able to explain this because I'm not an expert but it happens.

It is the telephone company trying to update your cell phone automatically, since you most likely did not attempt to check your new available services, they downloaded it automatically and at 6:10 am they saw you weren't using the phone and made a quick dump. It hit your home phone number as that is listed as the secondary number to contact you. Someone just did not turn off the updating quickly enough so it showed up as your cell calling the secondary number.

Most of the cellphones today have a system that locks their keyboard automatically to prevent them from dialing numbers while in your pocket or bag by accidentally pressing the buttons. Sometimes that system does not activate (mine, for example, if you press 0, will never deactivate the keyboard) or simply due to a defect in the cellphone it might have dialed your home number. And all of this, excluding the real possibility of people in the phone (or cellphone) provider playing pranks...

Nice White Noise moment, anyway...

Well, that was interesting indeed. Electronic's are wonderful when they work the right way. And while we are on the R and S site, how bout' this one.
Your praying in your room by yourself, you got the Radio on a Christian Music Station, during prayer, you ask GOD a question, the Radio station your listening to fade's out, another Radion station fade's in and the Preacher Man Preaching, answer's your question, then the Radio fade's back to the Music station.
Hmmmmmm, something strange going on there.
Ditto..........

It could be several things. Your battery could have been low, OR something in your purse could have shifted and hit the dial number, OR there could actually be something wrong with your phone. I had a problem where my phone was shutting itself off, I took it in to my server (Verizon) and they replaced it right away.

Sometimes only cause I have had this happen to me also is either your battery is low or if your phone has a SIM card, the SIM card could be going and it will call at random a number in your contact list.

Oh weird... maybe your cell felt lost and wanted attention.
Mine always calls my friend Andrew when it feels bored. Andrew is at the top of my dialing list and calls when I knock it and don't lock the keypad. Is your house number at the top of your phone list?

either someone played a practical joke on you or you pressed your phone through your purse while sitting on it or something

(or electronic bug in your phone operator
or someone hacked your phone operator database and used your number to call you...)

my advice,
1) check the last number called from your cellphone
- if it's your house, then you either sat on your cellphone or someone came physically into your house to play a practical joke on you
- if not, then 2)
2) ask your phone operator what hapened.

dont worry! stuff like that happens to me too! for example, i'll get a voice message on my phone and i'll listen to it and its me talking, its a voice mail i had left to someone else! it somehow came back to me! i think, the phone companies make mistakes and have trouble with the phones sometimes!
