are you sure it's love? not just a crush or lust? determine what it is. if it's LOVE that you're feeling, don't let anything come between that. if he's your friend, he'll want to see you happy. just talk to him before you tell her. i wish you the best!

Has your very close friend ever been this girl's boyfriend? If so, back off for a while. She'll still be there in six months and if she likes you, she'll still like you then.
However, if he just likes her but has never managed to get her to like him back, then you can let her know how you feel too.
I mean, face it. If you were better at math than he is, would he stop being your friend? You're just better at catching the interest of this young lady, and while he may be a little jealous at first, he wouldn't be a very close friend if he became angry that she likes you better.

all i can say is follow your heart for it may bring you to happiness..if you are willing to give up your feelings to that girl then you can't hurt your friend but the question is,are you ready to suffer the consequenses of your decision??are you ready to be hurt too???if the answer is no then fight for your love,don't give up!!!
