hi, i m a guy..i would lik to giv u a sugestion rather den an answer..wel basically i think ur nervous...n u think u wil drop or mess things up wil eating...n i dnt think so u should stop eating in front of him...cas fear wil tak you down...so m i advice is just chill he is ur guy even if somthing goes wrong he wil understand u...cas ur his lady love...all de bst n just enjoy de relationship n chilll

This is a common experience among teenagers. I suspect that it is because you are unconsciously afraid that if he should see any bodily function that it would appear unattractive to him. You are also probably afraid to really open up emotionally and intellectually with him as well for the same reason. People are afraid to reveal all of what they are for fear of rejection. Young girls especially pressure themselves to appear "perfect." You will get over SOME of this behavior as you mature, but everyone has something in their life that they fear is an unattractive trait and rarely or never share it with others. This isn't all bad. Presenting our best behavior is also a part of what constitutes good manners. It is all a matter of balance. Don't be afraid to be yourself, but have consideration for others at the same time. You might enjoy licking the bottom of your dish of ice cream at home in private, but not in front of others. Find a good balance for yourself. Don't be afraid to eat, but don't order a "sloppy joe" sandwich on your first date either. Don't be afraid that your date might actually know that you are going to the bathroom, but don't make crude bathroom jokes about what you just did either. You get the picture. Good luck.

my girl does that.she never wants to eat in front of me.
maybe they feel like fear or afraid of their men watching them
eating.may they think we gonna make comments n going to stare at them while they eating. but you girls put that in you head and think about it too much that why is dificult for you.
do think about it.just try when you get a chance.

just like you i too feel very insecure to eat in front of my lover boy.i guess its coz of being too self concious.
