if you knew a mom who was going to get her 15 yr old daughter and her 18 yr, old boyfriend an apartment, under the premice that she would be teaching the daughter a lesson, what would you say?

I would say that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

I would start calling her Grandma, because that's what she'll be pretty soon. And you can bet the 18 year old boy will fly away when that happens, so "Grandma" will be back to raising her 15 year old and the new baby. Tell her to get a second job and prepare for this because it's what's coming. Seriously, that is so stupid. There is a reason that 15 year olds are not considered adults, they are not old enough to deal with all of the emotional, financial, and other issues that come with living with a man. And I use the word "man" loosely, 18 year old males are extremely immature. The only thing she would be teaching them is that it's okay for them to have sex, and is that what she really wants?

I would say that the mom really doesn't care a whole lot about her daughter. I would never let a 15 year old move out of the house to begin with and especially not with an 18 year old boy.

Maybe she wants to teach her daughter a lesson about horny 18 year old boys, that they only want a girl for sex?
Is she not breaking the law by
1. Allowing her to sleep with an adult when she is still only a child?
2. Allowing her underaged daughter to move out?

I'd tell her she's several cards short of a full deck. How is it "teaching someone a lesson" if you get an apartment for her? If she insists on going out with an 18-year-old boyfriend, I'd keep her under my own roof, to ensure that she's at least using proper birth control. Otherwise you'll have another teenage mom just like that. (snaps fingers)

What the hell kind of a lesson would she be teaching? That life is simple, money grows on trees and moving out is easy? Getting pregnant at 15 is nice?

I'd say that she's a pretty crappy mom for doing that.

That is the worst lesson she could teach her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. She is just condoning them doing whatever they want. She would also be paying for them to do whatever they wanted as well.

I would say 3 years later when the daughter is 18yrs!
I believe that we all grow physically and mentally and our emotional growth gets retarded because we are afraid of deep relationships!
We should encourage deep relationships at an age when our emotions are ready to mature and deep relationships cause emotional hurts without which we don't learn about our emotions...just like you cannot play a serious game of soccer without ever getting hurt!!!
