I am going to get a well paid new job overseas. The country where I am going refuses to give visa to my mother since she is above 45. I am her only son. I have a family. My widowed mother went through a lot of hardhips to bring me up. I am unable to leave her for my family and vice versa. Can anyone help me out to solve this?is it wise to say NO to the employer since I have to look after my mom?

You should sit down with your mom and have a heart to heart with her.. See what she thinks and what she would like you to do.. and then honestly, you have to do what is in your heart.

If you do go, make sure you can make internet phone calls back and forth and keep in touch with her a lot. It's hard at first, but it does get easier. I promise it does.

You said that you have a family.. rally them around her.. make sure they shower her with love, cards, phone calls and Photo's. Mkae her feel still a part of your everyday life even though your not in the same town.

You shouldn't necessarily give up a golden opportunity job.. and if your mom truly cares about you, she wont make you choose.

Best of luck!

Opportunity knocks once! You must be practical you have some relatives or close family friends to take care of your mom,all overseas employees might file a petition for their love ones and you can do that and soon you will live together abroad! Grab the chance to work for your own future and get your mom after a while, anyway you will both enjoy those opportunities!Be smart!!!

It depends on how old your mother is. If she is still yong enough to take care of herself then you should leave and try to make as much money as you can so you can come back and maybe start a business or other things. But if she is old already and can't take care of herself then maybe you should stay. Money isn't everything and if you are a really good employee you can probably make some money in the country you are from.

If you can afford not to take the job, dont but if you have to you can always get a companion for your mother i.e. live in nurse or certified nursing assistant. How old is your mother anyways, if she is mobile and can take care of your self, go, nowadays more ways to communicate, so you can chat via email or phone everyday.

Your mother will understand.

She will let you go to have a better life.

She wouldn't want to bring you down.

Just go overseas.

It is worth it. Even though you might feel bad at first, really think about this. Transpose the viewpoints of yourself and your mother and do what you would do in her place.

The first person replied correctly - Blood is thicker than water. Actually Blood is thicker than anything else.
You should remember always how you have reached your present state. After climbing to the terrace you can not forget the ladder. You may need it again if you need to get down.
