Ben is a lovely name! I like Kevin and Lenni more though. I go to Uni in Edinburgh and all the double barrelled surnamed lah dee dah folk from posh school are called Benjamin, I know a Benjamin Bartholemew-Pearson... stick that on your cv and enjoy unemployment!

For a pet its ok... its sort of a sweet name.
For a child... I have yet to be convinced - it reminds me of cheesey 70's childrens books (everybody was called benjamin or Jennifer)

I love it, its what i wanted to call my second son, after my grandad.

I wasn't allowed, so he got common old Paul, little did the dad know Paul was the only man ever to stand by me all my life and treat me like a human being, so my sons name still has meaning for me, his awol dad thinks it was becasue his 'brother was called paul
(think again pal)

I like it, but remember that most people will just abbreviate it to 'Ben' regardless of whether that is desired.

Ben is a nice name, like Ben Folds, a good singer
