The queer pointing at the drunk!

We all make mistakes now don't we? I am not sure if you know anything about the Catholics but they drink some, I am United Methodist and I drink some, in fact every religion that I know of except the southern Baptist drink some(and they drink, they just won't admit it). Old Methodist joke "Do you know the real difference between a Methodist and a Baptist?" A Methodist will speak to you in the liquor store!
Mel Gibson is HUMAN, he made a mistake and got caught drinking, he made some remarks that he shouldn't have (probably stemming from the recent Israeli situation), it was unfortunate that he said and id what he did, but it has no bearing on his making of "The Passion of The Christ". Remember he's forgiven, not perfect. As a matter of fact if it had been me who had done this no one would ever have known about it, I am not a famous celebrity.

Good analyzation friend..

Maybe he has done something wrong with the story that made with The Passion of Christ...

I remember the story of Tower of Babel.. God confused the language of the world because the people there that time wanted to reach the gate of heaven, assuming that heaven is in the clouds....

God bless!

I love Mel and it's hard to see him in a negative light but...

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

No one's perfect. There have been countless religious people throughout history and in the Bible that have had just as bad or worse offenses. The only person that is completely sin free, according to the Bible, is Jesus. According to the Bible, people are not capable to be sin free in this life. So when you think about it, it's sort of funny people get surprised when another person takes a fall or is imperfect. That's a high expectation we put on others.

I'm definitely not defending Mel's behavior or that it's okay to have a free for all with sin; I'm very disappointed in Mel not so much for his DUI but his racial comments. That is my take on when someone falls short of perfection.

John 8:7
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
John 8:6-8 (in Context)

He admits to having a struggle with alcohol for a long time. He was cast in Road Warrior because he showed up for the audition after drinking all night and getting in a fight. The director figured the nasty look he had was just what he wanted!

He's not a boozer...Like a lot of people he made a mistake.. He admitted that he can't hold his liquor..In fact he said he has an addicting personality..That means if he tries any thing I mean any thing like drugs, pain killers, weather prescription or not he will want more .....and that's what happened ...He drank and he kept wanting more.

Mel's been a boozer for decades. His first DWI arrest came in Canada in 1984 ... and who knows how many times suck-up cops have let him off the hook?

Maybe he was always a boozer....people do try to hide things about themselves you know....

Just because he made a movie about Jesus doesn't mean he didn't drink...from what I have read about him, he has always had an alcohol problem.

If he would really truly put his faith and trust in God, then he would be able to have the victory over it.

what an outstanding idea. jesus could be performed by ability of an particularly camp actor, with a spangly toga and little lighting fixtures in his crown of thorns, the whipping scene could be set to music with the phillistines dancing contained in the historic past. god the possiblilities. take a renowned man or woman

Have you heard such things from a reliable source? I haven't heard anything about this. How is this important? I understand that he drank a lot before making this movie too.
