I read your last question and answered your recent one to MistyM. I don't believe God is testing you! The love that you have for your daughter is the same love that I believe God has for us. I am sooo sorry for your child, I can't give an answer as to why he allows it. Herein lies the challenge for Christians. Why believe when we can not see reason, or answers? For me it is the simple truth that I do have a relationship with a higher power, and I believe it to be Jesus. If it were not for the hope of an everlasting life in heaven, and the little miracles only I can see, I would have killed myself long ago. People are broken, inside and out and we fill the earth. Jesus was the only way for us to be saved and have an eternal life. If it were not for that we are just like a grass or a flower, here one day gone the next.
Like I said- this is what I feel to be true- maybe not for you, all I want for you is peace, a long life and a healthy daughter.

I think it is an utterly inadequate answer from those of faith to suggest that God is testing you. I regard myself as a person of faith but I would hope not to be so patronising. This would mean that God is capricious and I cannot believe that God is so.
I too have experienced what are possibly the worst two years of my life recently and have felt much of the anger, disappointment and pointlessness that you express. Perhaps I felt it more because I have always worked for the church and regarded myself as a good person (whatever that may mean). But this is the source of my frustration. In a sense I do not feel that I deserve the traumas that I am having/had. The reality is that life throws bricks at all of us whether or not we choose to believe in a God or not. God does not test us with these trials, nor does God create them for us. That kind of thinking belongs to the ancient past, Whig is why biblical literalists will still quote it at you.
What we do have is each other and an incredible capacity in humankind to make life better for each other. Sadly as a species we still seem more intent on creating harm and damage upon each other.
I am sorry that you are suffering and particularly your baby daughter. I hope that you may find ways to ease this pain and find contentment.

Who says that God is testing you by having a baby girl suffer? I don't know your situation, but I am not sure how you got to the part of God testing you in this way.

I am not a religious person, but I would like to help on my own small way.
Sweetie, the fact that you're alive now taking care of your sick baby is enough reason to be thankful for. Sometimes things like that happen to people so thay they will realize that there is someone higher than them who can do the "miracle" of healing. So that they will realize that on their own, they can't do anything. Why do people say that God is testing you with that situation? Because he knows what's best for you. Why your baby? Because He knows how dearly you love your baby and that you're willing to do anything just to get her out of the situation.
May I tell you that God does not do as He pleases. he does things according to His purpose.. which is to make something good out of a situation.
In your situation now, I am telling you straight that all you have to do is to humble yourself and accept the fact that on your own, you can't do anything. Even if you have all the money in the world, and if you continue with your PRIDE and SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, nothing is gonna happen. Only if you call on Him in prayer, believing that your daughter will be completely healed.. God won't ask for anything back from you. He doesn't need anything from you because He is God. But I am telling you NOW that YOU NEED HIM! You do not have to kneel down and beg for His love... His love and grace are there, just waiting for you to accept. All up to you whether you take it or not.
Again, if your want you daughter healed, your grumbling and complaints won't help. Why not humbly pray for her healing instead? Afterall, praying won't cost you a penny. So, what have you got to lose? But I am sure, you'll have something to gain... your daughter's healing!

Waaa, tis one is hard; but lemme try; one thing, God creates this world not because He doesn't have anything to do, and God creates human not because He needs humans to prove His own existence, and God creates the universe not to have a venue so that he could sit on it or something; in short, if you think God is testing you because He wants to show you that He has power over you, then, wow, are you His competitor or something?

Ummm well...actually, God gave his only begotten son to SUFFER and die on the cross for you and your family. He went to hell for us, so we wouldn't have to.He has actually done alot for you.
Are you a Christian?
God allows us to go through things, many times we do not understand why, but it all works out for the good.....if you are a Christian.
If not, then I am sorry to tell you this, but the devil is your master.
The Bible says that a person cannot serve 2 masters, so if you ain't serving God then guess who your serving?
I will pray for you and I hope that you will have a change of heart and realize that you can't fight the one that can help you.
Let God help you.
Blessings!

Hi,
Your question comes from a genuine heart.
I dont presume to have the right answer.
But let me tell you what I know:
God does not function by our standards.
His standards are much higher than ours.
It is possible for a human being to tolerate sin.
because we are imperfect.
But God cannot tolerate. Because he is perfect.
this is just one aspect.
When we say God loves.
His love is in context: to the ones who obey him and does his will.
Beyond that he does not love.
EXCEPT
that ONCE in history he unconditionally loved.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:16
I believe all bad things happen to us for good.
Speaking for myself, I have lost many good things in life.
But I've seen that it has always led to better things.
I pray that God will help you realise this for yourselves too.
sincerely,
Chris

The story of Job is just another copout to get people to continue to believe in god. Again the concept of god being all-loving, all-powerful and all-knowing is logically flawed..
Funny how it is ok for "god" to test us but when a non-believer tries to test god as a way to disprve he is real that person is riddiculed by theists

Good for you. You have enough on your plate without worrying about whether some god is playing games with your child's health.
Focus on the love you feel for your child, and the determination you feel to help your child any way you can. That's what matters most.

When you get in your car you want it to run don't you?
You were created by God,if you are not fit for the task he made you for he will scrap you.
Figure it out! It is not about you! It is about God.
Talk to him, scream at him, demand of him.But until you believe in him you will have little.Thank him for the Doctors, thank him for the medicine.Believe in him and you might find adversity is trans formed into opportunity.
