Depends on how mature you are. I know some couples that were married at age 16, and the marriage endured for 50 years or more, others that never married until they were in their 30's and the marriage flopped before the honeymoon was over.

I wouldn't recommend getting married until you're about 25, 19 - 20 means you're still in the education system and school + marriage don't work. Get your education, get a skill, and then if it doesn't work out, you're not on your way to destitution.

Yes it is. Marriage under the age of 25-27 years of age is too young to get married. Most people in the 18-25 year old age bracket really need to grow up first before they tackle on a major responsibility such as making a marriage work. Most people I have ever known who married when they were 19 and 20 are now divorced and 30. Get out and live life and have fun. Got to school and get your life in order before you invite someone else in the equation.

Nope, got married at 19 myself, been happilly married for the last 15 years. But a lot of that depends on your maturity level and that of your partner. Expect to run into unpleasantness the first few years, learn to appreciate the faults of your partner, laugh together, talk and grow together, and most importantly, do not have children right away. Get used to living with each other, know each other intimately, and be friends who can weather anything, including each other is my best advice.

Hot passionate romance is well and good, but it goes away, and if you're lucky and willing to work on it, gets replaced by a slowly burning affection and love tempered by friendship that's much better if you ask me. That's the stuff that stands the test of time from what I've discovered with my wife.

No. Not at all. But its advisable is that to get married by 21. But 19 , 20 is a suitable age only. In India 18 years is legal age to get married.

Not at all. Age does not matter as long as you both are adults.

But the real issues are:

do you know what marriage means?
what do you expect out of the proposed marriage?
why marry now? what happens if you postpone the decision?
why not marry now, rather than delay it?

Marriage also brings the two families together. Do you know what will it be if it happens (before the marriage)?

Do you know all his likes and dislikes? Do you know his track record - his past life?

I suggest a live-in period which will address all above questions. It is easier to break-up a live-in than a marriage. Also you may have saved a lot of money (in marriage ceremony).

I definitely think it is too young. If you consider marriage as a life long commitment that is great, but half of all marriages end in divorce. Usually money issues are a driving force. There is no rush. Take your time and continue to strenghthen your relationship and make sure your partner is going to be around for life not just a couple of years.
