Why a sandwhich? Why not something amazing.. or something normal with a little bit of happiness.

Like beans on toast with the toast cut into cool shapes, or how about a tuna, mayonaise, sweetcorn and cucumber sandwhich (tuna - daily portion of fish, sweetcorn and cucumber - one of your daily portions of fruit and veg)
or chicken with lots of yummy herbs and mayo yumyum

For the best filling sandwich, u grill/bake a nice 200 gr. beef steak and let it rest for a bit. Take a big piece of bread, spread with mayo, and top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and streaky bacon. Slice the steak in thin slices and put on the sandwich, bit op pepper and salt, some ketchup or any other sauce u like, and voila, a entire meal on a sandwich.

You can try the following recipe:

Use any main ingredient such as ham, carrots, broccoli, cooked chicken, smoked oysters, smoked meat or fish or whatever you like.

Ok, then mix in a blender one package of Philadelphia cheese with a hot mix of water (3/4 cup), a Bovril cube, and unflavored gelatin. Blend well and add your main ingredient, blend again, pour it on a mold, let it cool, then put in the fridge. You can spread this for your sandwiches in a type of bread you must like, adding some other stuff like onion, tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, etc.

I really like use broccoli and a bit of ham in good bread mix of cereals, it has a fresh taste especially in hot days.

Use White multiseeded harvest grain bread (kinda like "Mighty White" used to be only fresh). Dijon mustard on one side of the bread, thin layer of mayonnaise on the other.

Then top with a slice of mature cheddar. Then layers of wafer thin honey roast ham, slices of vittorio tomatoes. Then dust tomatoes lightly with some finely ground white or black pepper, top with baby leaf spinach or fresh basil.

Add another slice of cheese, but this time Port Salut, and top with the other slice of bread.

Squeeze down tight, and toast the whole sandwich in butter on a hot plate or frying pan.

...Or my other favourite - Chicken chopped up & mixed in Mayonnaise and fresh Pesto (Deli style), with Red Onion slices, and fresh Rocket mixed in.

Layer that in a fresh warm Baguette, with Tomato slices, and Cucumber slices, grind over a little fresh Black Pepper, and take great big gi-normous mouthful bites...enjoy!

Cheese and jam.

Don't knock it it you haven't tried it. My dad introduced me to the idea 20 years ago, and after several months going "yuk" every time I thought about it, I tried it and was VERY pleasantly surprised.

Good cheddar and strawberry jam or (my favourite) bramble jelly. A sandwich shop in Leicester used to make them for me, after I asked them very nicely.

A good fallback is cheese and Marmite. Yum.

If you're in a mood to cook things, crispy bacon, cheese and Branston pickle.

Now I'M hungry.
