i've got a profile on a few dating sites..well actually,it's my younger sister who made it for me since im not going on dates and enjoying my singlehood..now,a couple og guys from different sites are sending me emails,winks,icebreakers and etc..i can't reply coz i've not subscrobed to be a member.my sister told me to subscribe and see how it goes..is finding a date made by thru online communication worth it? i mean,i don't wanna see my money and my efforts go to nothing..one more is,my mom monitors my savings and wants every action of my withdrawal explained to her detailed.i understand her because money is hard to earn! so,got any suggestions or whatever?

i've also learned that if im gonna subscribe,it can be done thru online payment or by mail..if i use online,my mom will see where my money had gone to when i recieved the bank statement.if i use by mail,i can use the money i've got..so what do you think? im a bit confused here...

okay,my sister is not forcing me.she just wanna see me happy(as she says)i've been single for years now..and im not literally looking for a bf once! but interacting on the opposite sex can be a good thing though.coz what she told me is just,i worked and worked and worked! i need domething new in my life and its a guy who would be a distraction for a good cause!she told me that she won't help nor force me to date but maybe,it'll be better for me to choose the guys for and by myself..actuALLY,i haven't slept with any guy and that is GOOD!and i've come to think that,yeah,i need someone too..
i've tried to include my email add on my profiles but some of the guys just couldn't get it..

If your not old enough to be in control of your own money are you really old enough to be involved in something as potentially harmful and dangerous as internet dating ?.

Dont get me wrong I am not knocking internet dating in any way as I have been on dates and met people through it, but you sound very young for it.

Why not just hold on and find a guy you like through local channels get involved in groups that interest you locally. What the rush anyway ? ...

If you're afraid that your Mom will find out that you subscribed to a dating site, should you be subscribing? If you're over 18, I would tell you to discuss it with your Mom. Don't do it behind her back, you are an adult and have the right to date. The dating sites are a chance to meet people in a safe environment. You control what others see and know. You control who you meet and under what conditions. The dating sites are worth the try, but be aware that they are all different, and allow different things, so I something is not to your liking don't subscribe.

It's worth it if it's the thing you want to shapen your lovelife with and if you give it a free-go for some directions.Your mom stays as is wether or not you'll find your mate...she's your bloodline not a threat to your future happiness so never stop to listen to her advices, she does that for a reason for your bestwell so do'nt be offended,nor let her rule out your life neither..mom will always be a mom wether or not you're dating.You're important to her that's why she's concerned about you so be happy and don't get offended.Now as for your sis,she can't do more nor can she cause you any further damage if you won't allow her.As said,if the idea is to find yourself a companion here online or in the real world,you must really recognize that fact that you're looking and see to it that you actively participate in that quest...your life,your choices,your preferences and no other.

No. Definitely do not subscribe. Although it is a great way to meet people on the net, remember that you don't want to be paying various websites money just to be meeting and chatting to people. If you REALLY want people to get in touch with you for free then you should leave your email address on your profile on these sites so then they can contact you for free. Although i wouldn't advise this as you may get loads of randomers emailing you and it could become a nuisance.

I suggest you just stick to the free subscription as it is much safer, cheaper and you can still interact with people. Dating online can be a dangerous thing and the amount of weirdos my mate has ended up with after meeting them on the net are endless. I would just wait till some one comes along in reality - it may take a while or it may happen tomorrow - but there is somebody, if not, a handful or people waiting to meet you and be with you :)

You need to decide something first, Are you doing this for yourself or your sister? You dont sound so sure to me and if something was causing me this much hassle then personally i would forget it. But its not me, if you want to do it then go for it. Tell your mum its a website to chat with friends and you enjoy it, she doesnt need to know the details. If you decide not to then why not spend your money and join some clubs or an evening class? this is another great way to meet people. I would also say stop looking so hard and just have fun, you always meet someone when you least expect it!

here is what u do, in your profile, u write your email adress, but do it without the certain symbols they look for, the at sign,, like here is mine wizzard4angels at ya you know the rest then only the smart guys will find you and write you directly, then u take it from there, and meet with them if you like....I have meet a couple of girls this way, but soo many don;t see the clues and just keep on winkin at me...I wish they would figure it out so we could meet. oh well....what u doing later....lol.....write me for mor info..
