I've kept only the special clothes my daughter had....like cute little tye-dyes and other great stuff from Grateful Dead concerts.

When my daughter was 4 I bought her a brand new winter jacket. The zipper broke right away. My mom dug out my old coat from that age and so my daughter wore that. It was still in good shape and the zipper was heavy-duty durable. Goes to show you some things were better than they are today.

My mother-in-law kept the clothes that her daughters wore and when I started having girls, she started sending some of the nicer outfits down to me for the girls to wear. Then since I am finished having babies I have been giving the baby clothes to friends, relatives and an outreach group in my area that helps homeless families get back on their feet and we use the baby clothes to help those families that are needing something nice or extra for their babies.

how about donating them to the glycogen storage disease foundation there a non profit organisation who help children with the disease they can sell the clothes and use the procedes to fund research and help parents with information just an idea you can donate to any charity but this one isnt in the public profile much (we always give them our old things as my daughter has it) this would then not be a waste of the clothes and you would feel good as you would be helping the verry people these clothes are designed for just an idea
