then why does he allow children to be badly hurt or killed in accidents and bombings in these stupid wars, or in my case why does he allow children like my own to be born with disabilities and have to endure phisical and mental pain every waking day? and why did he take my big brother away from me at the age of 21? answer that, if i ever did have a faith in god then it has most certainly GONE FOREVER. what is the point of people praying when there is nobody listening.

so sorry to hear about your brother sweetheart and all the things you and your children have suffered
i try to see things like this from a different angle and not the typical religious view
i feel man has much to do with the suffering in this world , wars , famine , disease etc and god cant save everyone on earth going through such horrors .. the world is ours .. we have free will and we have it in " OUR " power to help the world , but unfortunately the government put resources into war and not to the people needing it most

as for your own babies sweetheart , i personally feel we choose our existence for our personal spiritual development and before birth we are aware that the body we inhabit wont be a perfect one... but you will understand me when i say , if you look into the eyes of a disabled child you will see a beautiful spirit , something special and please trust me that this life is so short and temporary and one day your babies will be whole and perfect in spirit and with you for eternity

now to your brother .. i speak with my dad in law about this as he lost his wife and hates god for taking her ...
i ask him to think about if there wasnt a god , and through this life we die before our time because of all the horrible things that goes on in this world ..with no god we would simply die and know nothing more , and be lost forever except in the memories of those who loved us
with a god however , our loved ones are kept safe and cared for and held in a place that allows us to be with them again
and i want to say the same to you , dont hate god for taking him .... but see it differently , that god will hold him in safe hands till one day you can be together ( i can promise this )
i am a spirtualist medium and know that our spirit lives on in eternal happiness and we all meet again
love to you xxxx

I can see and feel your pain in your question and am sorry that you have had such a tough time. The problem we have today is that alot things going on on Earth today, like things you have mentioned are caused by God, they are effects of what humans are doing messing up the way we should be living. We are supposed to be living together not against each other.

There is a disease on this planet called evil and its the most dangerous thing there is. It spreads from people turning away from what is right and things such as killing and abusing that it causes them to loose their soul. Once lost there is no way to get it back. The freewill choice was made and decided by the individual. This causes the spread of the evil because the 'person' is lost without the soul and becomes infested in badness and cannot get out of it. If only they had thought about what they were doing before they acted it could have been different.

I hear your pain, and I cannot give you an answer about your brother. All I know is that some people are here for longer times than others and when it is time it is time. The problem is that humans are causing others to go early and this is messing alot of things up. I have lost too and know what you are talking about, believe me.

All I know is that love is the most powerful thing there is, and if you believe in love, then love will help you through. Love works in so many ways, but so often we block ourselves away rom love because of things happeming here on earth.

If you believe in love, and I think you do because of how hurt you are, then know this:

Love is Universal. After this life, depending on what we have done whilst here on Earth, contributes to which 'level' you go to in the next life. Do good and you will be ok, do bad and dont repent or seek forgiveness and you are not so fortunate.

They are never gone forever, they are in the next room, healing, recovering from being here, growing, and developing.

Our spirit continues always, and the ones who have gone before often come close to us in spirit form, but we are often unaware and cant see cos of earthly activity, but they are most certainly there.

A thought of love takes exactly 3 seconds to reach anywhere in the Universe. If love is sent it is reaches its destination. Forget DHL and the mail. Its true!!!

If your spirit is 'tuned in' enough through meditation practice etc. you may even be able to develop your sense of Spirit and get your replies directly too. It takes time and alot of adjustment and work but it pays off.

Know love is there and always will be, and know that others on the other side will be close to you often, helping inways you cannot see, but all of a sudden something will happen to make something better in some way. Just trust in love and keep going. With love you have a chance, without it ther is no hope.

If you believe in love, know that God is love, Universal, Natural and Eternal.

This isnt religion talking, its the truth, and love is true.

Ask me anything and I will try and help you

Peace

This is certainly a painful situation.

God has turned the world over to us for the time being. It is not really God that allows these bad things to happen, but us. We are the cause of the deaths of children in war, we are the cause of children being born with disabilities. We are the cause of all the pain and suffering.

I'd suggest that rather losing faith in God, perhaps you should lose your faith in man.

My dear friend,

I can relate to what u r saying...I hv also gone thru such a traumatic time after which i started to believe that there is no such thing called "god"...
I think what we humans do is.....we like to see, believe n think the "possible"...so, where things are out of our reach, we tend to take someones support, like in this case "god" i.e. we like to be dependant on some super natural power to get our things done, than to believe in reality and fate. It is a very crude reality, but change is certain, and nothings stays permanent. And we as humans have to realise this concept n start believing in it. The minute u tell yr self that nothing is constant, you will start detaching from things. Be practical, and yet kind...be smart & yet sensitive.

Now, why innocent children get hurt, is b'se sometimes due to our lack of attention and other times....there is just no explanation. There is no explanation for why we feel hot n cold, n why we feel others pain, and why we smile sometimes and laugh other times....It is just the natures way of handling things.

Be brave and face each day with a challenge!
Also try meditating and deep breathing exercises, that will calm you. Talk it out everytime you feel low, that will help. Be strong and positive in life and remember to adapt the "change" concept.

Take care my friend, hope you find peace of mind soon!

If God has to handle our life, then where is our role ?
Look at creation. Humans are given the freedom of choice.
Other beings do not even have the choice.
If God decides to oblige, then what about contradicting prayers ?
Two persons playing a game to win each other, both pray, and how to allow both to win ? Two countries at war, who should win , if both pray ? Somebody prayed thousand of years ago, "hereafter none should die", then where is the place for you to live ?
The problem is, what you like , is not happening ! As a trial, experiment trying to like, what is happening. You still have a choice what to do about future. Handling material aspect of life, the choice is with humans, and it is good, some thrill is there with lots of uncertainties ! Accept everything as an essential aspect of life, and life joyously, striving to improve the quality of life through conscious choice, not force of habit. May be the complaint this God will reduce a little !

God is a myth. The Bible was never meant to be taken as fact. Its a great work of fiction and just a collection of stories with moral teachings. I am a Celt, we have numerous gods for everything, they are not real beings though, just personification of nature. It is nature that is the true creator and who helps us out. Are you atller than your parents, quicker, smarter. That is nature helping you out. But beware, nature has a way of biting you in the ***. However unlike the god of these preahing religions, who say you must do that or else. and you must believe this or else. Nature asks for nothing and promises nothing. It just exists and surrounds us and it is up to us to fit in and manage our own piece of it. It is up to you and us, there is no being affecting us. There is only us ans stupid human thoughts and feelings. Without god the whole mess in the middle east would not exist. God teaches hate and discrimination. Believe in yourself and as long as you do what you can, and with the right intent, then you will not need an all powerfull imagined faith....

I was diagnosed with a nasty disease, I was very upset. I went to catholic school as a kid, yadda, yadda, yadda, but, did'nt put much into it. I sent up a whole bunch of "S.O.S's to the big guy up there (pretty much in tears), I pointed out that I had put MY *** on line for another human being that I did'nt know (Person was injured and drowning and I saved him). Scared, and figuring it fell on deaf ears, I went back to sleepless nights, the next week, the Dr's office called and said there was a mistake, and that I was misdiagnosed, I just dropped the phone, as my jaw hit the ground ! that Sunday I was driving past the church, and I had'nt darkened the doors of a church with my shadow in a long time. There was absolutely no parking anywhere, I just threw on the brakes, and the flashers, and ran into the church, I had a few people to thank, I think the mass was in Latin, did'nt matter to me, I'm gonna keep my promises to him, HE'S THERE !

That's up to you. The fact is that God doesn't leave us, we or others leave from him. Even if God wasn't a personal being, his laws still exist in people's hearts, yet many choose to ignore them. Death shouldn't be reason to hate a being that you doubt exists. Death is a dreamless sleep. Yout dead loved ones are safe in the grave and will have to wait until the second coming to be resurrected. The will have no idea how much time passed from their last breath to their resurrection because first death is only a sleep. Evil spirits like to masquerade them to tease people. The second death is a permanent deleting of existance, but that's only reserved for people who love evil and have no remorse. Such people are cleansed from the Earth by hell which comes from heaven. Satan doen't like light, much less would he like the heat of God's presence! Then after Earth is restored to as it was in Eden (the sky and Earth), we all live happily ever after with the NEW Jerusalem that descends from the sky will be the capital of the Earth and God will be our light.

Death is a reality. That's why there is the hope of salvation from sin and death. Babies go to heaven, they just have to be taught about the great controvery between good and evil after resurrecting. Wouldn't it be cool for baby saints judging the unsaved?

if god put us on earth to be tested ( which most religions believe) what would be the point of doing everything for us? we would never learn anything.
as for suffering of children i admit that is so sad but again if everyone was perfect in the world we would never learn that art of charity and that, is the pure love of christ.
as for friends and family dying so sad again and i am sorry for your loss, but maybe god has somthing better in store for him in heaven, he may have other work to do up there than what he would have done down here.
we all need a body to get back to god thats the purpose of life soy our brother got his body then moved on. dont throw away a beliefe that could really help because you dont understand the plan, find out ewhat god really wants from us. it may take a lifetime to find, but once youve found it you will know and be happy once again.

I am sorry to hear about the hardship you are facing. I must say this I do not believe that there is a god for the concept of god is flawed. if god is all-loving he would not have let these terrible thing happen to you, sadly the religious people will use copout answers to explain why god did not answer prayers or why this has happened, such as god works in mysteries ways, it is not meant for us to question god, only god knows, he does answer prayers but not in the manner in which we think. ect...

I'm sorry; things happen in life and it is up to the person to make the best of the situation.
