Ive got a panasonic 24inch HD tv with "floating" speakers...
i say floating, because there are connected to the system via bluetooth (ie, they're wireless)

I have a 5.1 surround sound system...Meaning i have have 5 speaker (One directly above the TV, one on each side of the Tv, and one in each corner of the room behind us, all working of a single channel...hence the 5.1 !!)

I highly recommend you get a surround sound system for your TV, because it makes it feel as though you are ACTUALLY there!

For example, when i watched PEARL HARBOUR, we could actually hear the planes coming from behind us, and it sounded as though they flew over our heads!! AWESOME!!
