I will be back on the market after a 12 year marriage after awhile. Eventually down the line i will want to date. do men have a problem seriously dating a woman wiht kids and why or why not?

as long as those kids do not obstruct your dating i think it is not a problem to guys

It depends on the guy you are going to date. Some guys do and don't like to date a woman with children. It depends on each particular man. There are the obvious bad reasons why a man do not want to date a woman with kids. (i.e. Doesn't like kids) Usually the men who don't want to date a woman with kids are usually the ones who do not have children themselves. They may not feel comfortable around children. They may feel as though the kids will get in the way of dating and romance. They may feel that with demands of single parenthood you will not make any time for dating.
Some men won't mind dating a woman with children. Do make it clear to anyone you may be dating that you have children. That way there are no surprises. What you may want to do when you are dating is to NOT introduce someone you may be dating to your children until you have been dating for at least 3-6 months. Bond with each other first before having someone bond with your kids. It will be better for all involved.

Wow this is familiar... 3 years ago i divorced from a 12 year marriage and have 2 kids..12 and 13... And yes i met a wonderful man who i am now engaged to...who has never been married and doesnt have children... And he is the most wonderful man i have ever known. Hes great with my kids and fully accepts them!!!!! So... there are men out there who will not see your children as a problem. Good luck with your new life.....

Depends on the guy... Some like the idea of an instant family, some don't. Be upfront about it, and the ones who could get into it will stay interested, the one's who won't are gonna be gone fast, or at least until they've gotten what they wanted. Gotta be careful of course, but I don't think it would be that big of an issue. Just gotta look out for those guys who love the step kids until the 'new' (read 'his) family comes around.

Kids under 3-4 years are very needy so that's why men dislike dating with woman in this case. Older kids may be more confortable. A spoiled child it's worse anyway

Older men (and I don't mean old men, just not like 21) have come to understand that everyone has a past and sometimes that past involves children. They accept that and it doesn't hinder the dating process at all. Especially since some of them may be in the same situation.

I'm a widow with two kids, and it's never seemed to be a problem. I think maybe twice a guy was put out b/c I had kids, but that was in a bar anyway. And that's out of dozens of guys that've hit on me. I don't think it makes a difference anymore. One of my guy friends says that he usually just expects a woman to have kids anymore....in this day and age of serial monogamy. I kinda want to throw him in a tree when he says that....but then I know it's true. lol

why would it be a problem i dun see any thing wrong with it, maybe it will be hard for u cuz u will have to date some one u can trust on ur kids but for me i wouldnt care if the woman got kids i only care abt her and what personality she has,and if she had kids i'll alos love them if i loved her but i wont hate them even if reached a point to hate her!

If he seriously loves you...n wanna marry you..i think some guyz will have prob. but if you have ur unique style n good stuff like beauty..or sex...or...sweet voice..or brain....then it's ok 2 marry you.But..if he doesn't wish to marry you..only dating ..having sex...he must not have any prob.

no they dont u just need to remember wen u date a guy find out if its okay wid ur kids and if a guy doesnt like kids then dont date him ......
