i use milk instead of water

I always follow the directions on the box to the letter, because my baking skills are nonexistent. I did see Paula Deen use milk once, so I might try it myself, especially since you do it too.

milk, it tastes much better, but be sure to use skimmed milk (in the uk) or 0% / 2% fat milk (in us) then you will have the creamy-ness and good taste as well as the reduced fat. you could also use a bit more water then a couple of spoons of milk powder to give the same result.

Sometimes milk, sometimes water, sometimes cream, sometimes fruit juice, and so on. I've even used applebutter or applesauce.
