My boyfriend came home from a week long trip, while he was gone I suggested to my friend Autum and her boyfriend Chase that when my boyfriend Mike comes back, the 4 of us should go out. Like a double date.
Today when I was talking to Mike, He asked what we should do tomorrow so we can see each other, I said that we should hang out with Autum and Chase, he said he didn't know and it just feels werid and he doesn't know why, See the thing is, Autum, my friend, is Mike's x, and yes I know that your not soupse to date friend's ex's but- me and Autum had a long talk and she had already moved on,shes the one that dumped him anyways.LOL.
I asked him if he still had feelings for her, and he said no, of course I believed him, because I know him like that. LoL.
My question is, would you feel werid if you were Mike?
Should we hang out with them tomorrow?
Please HELP!
Thanks!

I would find this awkward for more than one reason. First, your boyfriend hasn't seen you for a week, & probably wants some alone time with you. He had an interesting trip, & probably wants to tell you about it. Plus, he has probably missed you, & wants your undivided attention.
Second, even with ex-girlfriends I haven't seen in years, I doubt I would be comfortable going with them on a double-date. Especially one who dumped me. If the breakup is fresh, I would probably resent her. If it's not, I would still probably prefer just to cut ties with her & not have to deal with her. Having someone who has seen you in a familiar situation like this when they were on the receiving end of your affections now observing is not a comfortable scenario for most men. I would definitely find this situation awkward, & would resent my girlfriend if she tried to force me into such a situation.
I wouldn't press this issue. Your boyfriend is obviously not comfortable with this idea, & may not want to spend time with his ex in general. If that's the case, you may have to set aside time to see your friend separately from your boyfriend. Perhaps you should recommend to both him & the other couple that this be done another time, & then possibly bring up the idea again in passing in a couple of weeks. If your boyfriend is still apprehensive, let sleeping dogs lie & drop the idea completely. Best of luck.

I might feel weird, but the point is, he already told you he feels weird and doesn't want to do it. I don't care if Autum is you friend and you think it would be fun to double date, your boyfriend isn't comfortable with it and you need to respect that.

Could be it's just an awkward situation for him, and he's not sure how to 'act' around her. Intimacy of any sort is hard to just put away, and he might not know how to put that aside and act 'normally' around them. That's going to be uncomfortable for him, and could be something he can't articulate, or perhaps doesn't even realize himself. If he's not cool with the idea, don't force the issue until you've had a chance to talk it through, without having it become an interrogation.

its too weird.even if he has no feelings for the girl,it would feel weird to him,and your friends boyfriend too.think about it,two guys that slept with the same woman double dating..guys dont want to know or see anyone who did thier woman before they did.guys are weird like that.we pertend that you were virgins when you met us cuz the thought of you in bed with someone else would drive us mad,and top be forced into a social situation with the other guy would make it uncomfortable for both guys.so stay friends with your girlfriend but dont try to get the guys to hang out..wouldnt work.

i don't think it is weird, but is definitely awkward. how would you feel if you had to spend a whole night with your boyfriend and your ex? Besides, he just got home and the only person he wants to see is his girlfriend. so i think that you should first spend some time together and then go on a double date.

If my girlfriend asked me to go out with my ex and her new boyfriend it would be a little weird. I would go along with it to make my girl happy, but deep down I wouldn't like the situation.
Put yourself in his shoes.

Yes,you should. If I were Mike,I wouldn't feel weird because they are my friends(you said Mike doesn't have feelings for Autumn. If it's true, then it shouldn't be hard for Mike to go).

Congratulations on the infant! As a mom of two, the terrific advice i provides you is to purchase earplugs. never you recommendations all the undesirable advice of others. You do what's gentle for you in accordance along with your docs orders. in my opinion, I even have never heard of giving an enema to a new child until the youngster became heavily constipated. And if so, i do no longer think they do pediatric enemas. coping with the in regulations is usually a tricky situation to be in. I understand your decide for for solutions, yet what you would be able to planned to be bizarre, his family individuals would evaluate it to be a prepare of a few variety. You had suggested that the grandmother does this out of punishment??? is this ordinary as a fact? if your boyfriend gets protecting appropriate to the placement, in keeping with possibility this is as a results of the fact he considers it to be standard. in case you fairly are uncomfortable along with your new child being around this grandmother, I propose no longer leaving your new child unattended together with her. be optimistic which you or the toddlers father are continually in it is presence whilst costly previous grandma is around. Out of my very own journey with my toddlers, it is extra clever to no longer argue approximately it. My husband is of a distinctive lifestyle than I. It posed a topic whilst our young ones have been born together with his family individuals wanting to do issues like provide the infant tea, and use cooking oil as somewhat one oil, putting Vaseline of their hair. I did;t help any of those issues and for that reason, my toddlers did no longer initiate going to "sleepovers" and grandmas homestead until they have been the right age to tel me what surpassed off. i be responsive to it is troublesome top now, yet with the aid of fact the infant isn't yet right here, there fairly isn't something plenty you're able to do approximately it. And to enable you be responsive to the fact, it is probable no longer properly worth arguing approximately later. basically be responsive to that this is your new child, and any judgements made ought to pass threw you... good luck.
