Absolutely, It's perfectly safe to fly. Remember, the crew on board are highly skilled, trained professionals that know how to handle any situation that may arise. In fact, it is safer to fly than to drive down the street.

Yes, planes are safe. They have to go through extensive testing to comply with all safety criteria. The reason people think planes are not safe is because when one DOES crash ( which is not often) it immediately makes the evening news whereas a car crash would not, so the plane crash seems infinitely worse.
Statistically most accidents happen in/around the home.

One of the safest method of transport. For example, Airbuses have an alpha-flooring system, which will prevent the aircraft from stalling if the pilot pulls back on the joystick too much... Boeing's aircraft will make the control column or joystick shake a lot to alert the pilot... Modern aircraft are now like flying computers. So don't worry. Relax and enjoy your flight!

Well you may be hurtling through the air at hundred of mile per hour, thousands of feet above the earth on a vehicle that is powered by controlled explosions but statistically it’s the safest way to travel. Go for it man you’ll have a kick *** time, just check out mountains when you fly over them, I went over the alps on the way to Cyprus a few months back and it was amazing!

To answer your question . . . YES! If you are unsure, just find out how many airline crashes there have been in the last decade?? And then, think of EVERY SINGLE flight that takes place EVERY DAY, the odds answer your question, it is almost impossible nowadays for a plane to have a life threatening issue in the air.

Yes, it's safe I ride planes a lot... and I've yet to burn to death in a big firey crash, but I've been in 3 auto accidents and, I'm only 15. Planes are fun, nothing to be afraid of, you get peanuts and, pretzels!

You're more likely to be killed in a car wreck than a plane crash. You have nothing to worry about. Air travel is about the safest way to fly.

Well, your several thousand times more likely to be killed on your way to the airport than once you get on the plane.
Air travel is the safest mode of transport by far. I've got millions of miles under my belt and nary a scratch!

Safer than roller coasters, safer than cars, safer than motorbikes
and safer than being in you own home during hurricanes. I cannot understand this: a lot of people who post say that they do not believe in God. However, at airports and on aircrafts, I always see people praying and asking God to allow them to fly safely and to land safely.
