If you were going on a first date with someone you met online, would you want to know what they looked like first?

I think it would be normal to exchange pics online first - why not? Escpecially if a woman is going to meet a man b/c some men these days are lying about their ages and then the woman could be in danger - you hear this crazy stuff all over now and if the girl is young it's dangerous to do. I think it's normal. Sometimes people lie about their appearances,etc but if looks aren't that important to you then I guess you wouldn't need to exchange pics - but not even necessarily just b/c it is always nice to know what someone looks like. It may take some excitement out of the first date though - part of the anticipation must be wondering what the other person looks like. You could always ask to exchange pics so you know how to recognize each other.

However, online I would want a pic or something first, or even a phone call.

Doesn't matter cause they will probably not look like that anyway. However, I would "never" date anyone from oneline. If you do, then make sure family members are around (not necessarily in the same house or room) just in case you need help and so they can tell you their feelings about her later. Keep your cell phone near you. Never meet anyone in a secluded type place where no one is around. Never give out names, dates, places, schools you attended, etc. etc. because if they know too much about you and you don't really like them, if they know too much about you then you can't get rid of them. Take down their car tag number. In joking ask to see their drivers license and remember the info from it and check them out later if you think you might like to see them again.

I would never trust anyone on the internet to go on a blind date with them. I don't care what they look like.

Heck yes! Especially if it is someone you met online. Are you crazy? This is the internet we are talking about. You want to know what the other looks like so there is no unpleasant surprises.

Not important. Looks are so shallow. I would most certainly want to know what sort of person they are, good or bad, honest or dishonest, moral or immoral, but for me, tall or short.
