My advice keep on going in the end you will be happy.Maybe you are tempted but ask your wife to pray for you because if you feel like this then it means you have to make 2 choices. Keep going or convince but then ask yourself why it is occuring when you go to church not when you go anywhere else. Its a vital point where bad choice can ruin your life and your wifes life and I know that you do not want to go but remember that death is the real enemy. What if you were to die tomorow than what?..

Why R U tired of going to church???? Is listening to difficult for U? Can't U sing in tune? Don't U believe in the prayers that U repetitively say?
Join a bible study group or read books or search the internet. I left the church for 15 yrs but found out that I was worthless without God. For past 3 yrs I have been going to church and learning in study groups what the Our Father really means, what the creed really means, what communion really means, etc. By learning the history of the church and doing an internal search of myself, I have come to realize that God is awesome and I want to go to church to worship Him, to rejoice with others and to say prayers that announce my faith. Church is a great place to be.

You can not say its a illness, people those who have a will power control over their brain, need not go to the church and pray the god there.
People are suffering with their fast life style, so many problems surrounded and may not keep the concentration to thank God for the better life style given than so many millions of the people those who are struggling for a one time meal, certainly should go to the church for a better concentration which is not only to thank or Pray the God but surely it gives a peace of mind.

I am facing the same problem. I am religious in my own way, but going to temples, really annoys me. U will have to tell her straight that U are religious but get bored in church. Let her go alone.

Tell her you need a break.
I usually go every Sunday but decided I would take a break this summer. Now I am ready to start going every Sunday again.
Maybe you need to try a different church with a different service.

It IS a real disorder. A single visit to www.chick.com will convince both you and your wife. I especially like the tract about evolution.

Why not lose religiousity and get a relationship with God? I had to do it. Church was getting too boring, becuase I didn't understand what it was for! I was stuck in religious-ness!!

Start flopping around and talking about satan, if she drags you to church, do it more. This will more than likely give them an excuse to try to free you of these demons. Right before they try tell them you were faking and tell them they'd fall for anything, proving their religion is bunk.
