Ok, I LOVE Guinness...it is just about impossible to beat a well poured pint after a long day.

But when they charge you $6 + doesn't that just piss you off...I pay it...but honestly...when I can find a pint for under $4 I am just happy as hell.

Discuss.

around here, we pay pretty much the same price, so we usually buy guiness in a can or if we can find it, the guiness draft in bottles. the only time we actually drink guiness when we go out, is for "dessert", especially since it is either a piece of cheesecake, or a guiness, they are both about the same price. but we can get a 4 pk of the guiness in cans for less than what 2 pints in a bar or restaurant cost.

Well back in the UK it was about 2.50. I guess that's around 5 dollars. In Japan I pay close to 1000 yen, that's 10 dollars. You are lucky.

I think guiness from a can isn't close to the real draught taste.

C'mon man. Good beer is one of the few luxuries that costs $6.

Good clothes, good cars, good computers all set you back way more than a year's worth of drinking good beer - and good beer (Guinness in particular) is worth a bit more.

Anyway , those $4 beers have no taste.

The Guiness widget cans are pretty cheap and they are just like the draught you get at the bar.
