That's what cops used to do. Patrol around and make sure no one was disturbing the peace. Now we have "Rogue Cops" that seek to fine you with a technicality when you were actually going about your business "peacefully." They are in fact, most of the time....disturbing the peace. I think the solution is to plead "not guilty".........especially when it's your word against the cops word. What do you think?

Now look what they're doing to poor Mel Gibson. The guy was drunk....how can you make such a big deal out of something that a drunk person said? Give me a break.

"Fine you with a technicality", sounds like you were possibly doing something you weren't supposed to be doing. You can try to plead "not guilty", that is usually the best option, but if it comes down to your word against theirs, they will always win. It sucks, but that's just they way it is. Hey, maybe he'll be working that day and won't be able to make it to court.

Why don't you start a new generation of Policing and join the force yourself?

Mel Gibson was driving drunk, I don't care what a drunk says but I do care that he was driving He could have killed someone and their whole family. I don't want you or him speeding, driving drunk, or careless. And frankly if I have to have a license, my car licensed, inspected, insured, and drive it properly so should you. I don't know when you remember "Peace officers" but when they were last called that they shot people who disobeyed them, resisted arrest, or ran from them. Ah the good old days!

I have been envolved with the police force here in AZ for years. I have yet to meet an officer that is not a Peace Officer. The only people they harrass are known criminals, drug dealers and users, and gang members. Which one are you?
