If we had enough faith we could. The bible said that we would do even greater works than these, to those who believe. There have been miracles here on earth but man tends to not believe them as maybe the doctors made a mistake after all, therefore not giving God the Glory. Jesus couldn't do great and mighty works in his own country because of their unbelief. In underdeveloped countries where people have more faith there have been instances of the dead being raised, so that isn't impossible. I don't know of any case of walking on the water, but the bible says anything is possible to those who believe.

Because we do not believe in our hearts of hearts that it is possible. As Jesus said to Paul (I think) when he tired walking on the water and failed and Jesus had to save him "oh ye of little faith." It will all come in time and that time is up to your acceptance of the truth as taught by Christ. That you are capable to doing as he did and even greater deeds than he.
We all have a path to walk and we must keep our eyes ahead, not looking at all the worldly things about us. "For then we get caught up in the storm and sink to the bottom.

Good question!
1. Because it is not necessary.
2. Because not all people who claim to be Christians are like Christ.
3. Maybe because we don't have enough faith.

I think a Christian with true purity of heart, and more than that...FAITH beyond belief, could do those things. The problem is most people don't believe they can do it, even with God's help. Also, as someone said, if these were everyday occurences, they'd eventually be laughed at and taken for granted, too.

Why are you not drowned! Because we are real Christians not the Inquisitors from the Mediaeval Era, that you had escaped from. We are tolerant to Atheists, we don't ask them to walk on water or be the living dead.

BECAUSE, christians are not christ. i can't believe this is a legitimate question. Christ was God - read 1 john for confirmation, and therefore could do anything and everything. a christian is someone who believes jesus was the son of God and tries to live their life for him, they aren't a version of him. Goodness me.

Christ was the Only begotten son of God.
"Only begotten son of god" was found 1 times in 1 verses in the New Testament.
John 3:18 - He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The samme reason why God did not send Angel Gabriel to speak directly to everyone of them Christians. And the same reason why all Prophets were not sent with the same miracle.

Because most of them are lazy bastards who don't practice their spirtuality.
I myself am a devout follower of the Peter religion, and am to the point in my spiritual life that I can levitate fifteen inches off the ground using only my enormous erection.
