Heck yes!! OMG!! I love doing that. I used to buy tubes of cookie dough and cut off peices to eat just for the hell of that, but I don't do that naymore, cause that makes me fat.

OK, I admit it, I'm old. It was my official duty as my mother's child to taste any and all batters and doughs. My friends performed similar services for their mothers, and we are all still here, unscathed. Never got sick. Not once. And our eggs came straight from the farm, a friend sold them to Mom. They were huge, oh well, different subject.
I do not recommend raw dough sampling, but, ohh, it was sooo good.I like that cookie dough ice cream, too.
I do not sample now, I guess I know better now. But just one little temping bite off the spatula...

Yes! Of course, that's half the fun of baking. Sometimes I bake w/ Amaretto, Grand Marnier, Cognac or Brandy, that's when it really gets fun!

guilty. i do that sometimes, yes. i'd be lieing if i said i didn't. but i try and chew gum while i'm cooking so i'm not tempted to pick at the dough or whatever.
